10.01.2022 I was sad to find that Maylands Aurora died earlier this week, we suspect from a snake bite. She was 13mths old. She was the first girl born on our farm and the most beautiful baby too. She was smart, brave and perfect. Aurora and Fitzy had one of the best bonds I’ve seen between two alpacas, them having grown up together. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

04.01.2022 Cold wet & even some snow here in Gippsland this weekend so we gave the Alpacas some chaff. They have access to hay at all times and having this open stable is great for shelter too. Because Alpacas are partial ruminates (they have 3 stomachs) food like hay and chaff helps them to keep warm in cold weather. #alpacas #gippsland #winter
