15.01.2022 Maylands/Bayswater/Inglewood Branch - Matt's 4th newsletter Dear Members, It is possible to see the light! We may be heading towards that rumoured new normal now. With the interior borders opened (except for the Pilbara and some Federal areas) it is possible to think that some more normal Party Business will start to come back again. I can almost taste the cold beer and hear the chat at our next physical Branch Meeting!... I would appreciate some feedback on what we may look at doing over the next few months before the next State Election Campaign starts up. We had a few guest speakers lined up for Branch Meetings and we do have some things we can do outside of Meeting together. This process has already started with the phone bank this past week, a huge thank you to everyone who participated. Some 183 calls made with overwhelming positive feedback from participants! Excellent work Maylands Branch and Sarah for organising. I wish you all a wonderful WA Day Long Weekend and we can celebrate living in such a successful Labor led State! I look forward to seeing you all soon, Solidarity Forever, Matt English Branch President Online Seminar Series The Australia Institute: The Economics of a Pandemic There are several great presentations already available and the next few are going to be great! 09.01.2022 *Maylands/Bayswater/Inglewood Branch newsletter* The hard work of our State Labor government has resulted in a result greater than that we could have hoped for 3 months ago. Getting down to Phase 4 restrictions has been hard fought by our Premier and his team; we are able to be confident that the WA Labor team will prioritise WA lives and work to support our economy. Campaigning for the 2021 State Election has begun; taking part in our virtual phonebanks is an amazing opportu...nity to learn how to use the technology. The calls happening at the moment are nearly universally positive with the success of our governments' policies and actions. Feel free to get in contact with Lisa and her team at https://lisabakermla.com.au/volunteer/ We are looking at ways to do some fundraising in the near future and we look forward to seeing everyone together again, either at resumed Branch meetings or State Election events. In the meantime, stay safe and take care of yourselves and each other. - Matt

05.01.2022 Hey Maylands branch - sick of fundraisers? Feel good about not attending this one. Stay safe at home. No need to dress up or listen to long speeches. Just put on your comfy clothes, sit on your couch, turn on Netflix and enjoy.
