20.01.2022 It doesn’t get much sadder than this Port Stephens Koalas rescued ‘Medowie Matt’ at one of Medowie’s new subdivisions, ‘Tallowood Estate’. He was looking for... the tree that used to be his home ALL levels of government have to start taking the protection of koalas and their habitat seriously.

18.01.2022 It was such a huge week for us here in parliament, even Facebook thought I was news! They banned me from sharing our work yesterday but I’m back now! so here’s some of what my team and I got up to in our first week back for 2021.

14.01.2022 When former PM Kevin Rudd started a petition last year for a royal commission into the power and dominance of the Murdoch press which was signed by half a milli...on people in just 28 days, I did what I can do as a senator and moved for a senate inquiry into media diversity. Today was the first of many hearings for that inquiry. I hear and share your concerns about protecting public interest journalism. When we all work together, much can be achieved.

10.01.2022 Today I will introduce the Greens bill to phase out single-use plastics in NSW by 2025. Plastics are having catastrophic impacts on our environment and human he...alth with scientists predicting that there will be more plastic than fish in our oceans by 2050. Recycling alone won't get us out of this mess. We need bold action to urgently tackle plastic pollution. Yet the NSW Government hasn’t even banned plastic bags! So today I’m going to ramp up the pressure with my Bill which provides a road map to phase out single-use plastics and mandate targets for the use of recycled, reusable and compostable packaging, and more! You can watch live at bit.ly/nsw-lc, probably after 4pm.

08.01.2022 Angus Taylor and Scott Morrison where are you? :-(

07.01.2022 Scott Morrison has told the mining industry Australia’s taking the Frank Sinatra approach to carbon emissions and we’re ‘going to do it our way’, which should make things very interesting when he heads to England to attend the G7 summit next week. #TheProjectTV

04.01.2022 I'm disturbed that Premier Berejiklian is cutting 678 jobs at NSW TAFE. We need to be investing in high-quality, well-funded and free TAFE nationwide, not allowing vital support roles to be slashed.

04.01.2022 Even more troubling for Labor is the persistence of the Greens. The more Labor temporises on climate policy that greater the likelihood that they will lose inner city seats to the Greens. The most striking fact about the Newspoll data is that among voters aged under 34 the Greens are within nine points of reaching Labor's support. Only 1-2 seats need to change at the next Fed election for there to be a change in government.

04.01.2022 If you live in Central Ward I want to hear from you! What could Council do better? How important are some nominated issues to you? Please share too. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BG2TFMK

03.01.2022 Here's a snapshot of how the Senate voted last week. Between the distressing mishandling of an alleged rape in parliament house and Facebook banning news content some important votes flew under the radar last week.
