24.01.2022 Affectionately called #talkinghouse this existing cottage is home to a family of 4 who are ready to stop sharing 1 bathroom and 3 bedrooms between them. To solve this & reconnect the home to the yard we proposed a split level solution that gets Mum up & away in a loft bedroom, leaving the existing home largely untouched with a bold new living wing to the rear.

19.01.2022 There are carports. And then there are carports. And Simon's carport tops them all because it turns out, he is a master gardener - hiding the carport behind this lush curtain of planting. We love when our clients make us look good! To watch more of #gtmadhouse head on over to IGTV! Built by @petro_builders ... Photography by @toby_scott Film by @timothybirchstudio See more

19.01.2022 The enormous Jacaranda to the front of Golda & Dhjango's home creates a stunning contrast to the charred black spotted gum cladding of the home. While significantly more expensive than a fibre cement alternative, with less scaffold during the build, and no painting trade on site, it balances out as only slightly more expensive at the end. This factory prepared product is both beautiful, long lasting & almost zero maintenance. We reckon that is a good trade! Built by @momentumbuildingqld Photographed by @toby_scott

14.01.2022 The light filled stairwell that links the roof terrace to the mid & lower levels is clad in a twin-wall polycarbonate - letting in lots of light, but giving privacy to the anticipated future neighbour. Small lot homes have to take advantage of every bit of light & air they can! Built by @aligned_building Photographed by @toby_scott

09.01.2022 Golda's love of colour & books brought lots of fun to this project. One of her early requests were for shelves suspended over windows. These bring in light, but still give lots of spots for her knick knacks to be displayed. The recycled timber island bench is still to come - a project for her dad - and we can't wait to see the finished product!
