20.01.2022 The Play Rugby League Central Coast/Hunter/Newcastle development officers provide rugby league skill sessions to schools and local rugby league teams. The last couple of years, Dan Swan and his team have visited MSPS instructing both boys and girls the rules and developing their skills in rugby league. MSPS looks forward to working with Dan again in Term 4. As part of the COVID Safe plan for the school, the school has been provided with rugby league balls to be kept in each class set of sporting equipment. As each class has their own football it helps the school adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, making MSPS a safer school and community. Thank you Dan and the Play Rugby League team

17.01.2022 Muswellbrook South Public School are having an Evacuation practice today. If you hear the siren dont be alarmed.

17.01.2022 Please be advised the 800m running race will be held this morning. If there are any students who would like to participate, please ensure you wear appropriate running shoes. The event will be held in Junior (8 - 10yrs), 11yrs and Snr (12-13yrs) categories. Students are required to RUN 3 laps of the oval. This event is not compulsory for all students, only students who are interested will participate.

16.01.2022 The rounds of the lunchtime touch football and netball competitions were completed last week. Finals will commence today, Monday 7 September. Please find attached the competition ladders on where teams finished, a copy of the finals format and this weeks finals draw. ... Hopefully with weather permitting the games will be played this week. Thank you to Mr Adams for organising a great competition.

16.01.2022 Muswellbrook South Public School was successful in receiving a grant from Muswellbrook Workers Club. This money enabled us to purchase 29 class sets of sporting equipment. The equipment will benefit all students: increasing their physical activity and developing their social skills. As each class has their own set of equipment it helps us to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, making MSPS a safer school and community. Thank you very much Muswellbrook Workers Club for your continued support of our school.

15.01.2022 Each week we have Aboriginal students from primary classes visit infants classrooms to share their culture through Dreamtime stories. Last week we had Seth from 3 Red who shared a story with 1 Yellow.

07.01.2022 To finish their unit of work on Light and Sound, Stage 1 students (and teachers) participated in a Science Day. The students thoroughly enjoyed all the hands on experiments.

05.01.2022 MSPS 100m finals - part 2

05.01.2022 We tried our best to bring you live action from our 100m running finals. Apologies for the little technical errors we experienced. Three videos have been posted showing the great running efforts of our students. Well done to everyone involved and thank you to Mr Adams and staff for a wonderful afternoon.

04.01.2022 Students in Grades 1 to 6 have been competing in Athletics track and field events during weekly sports this term. On Wednesday (16 September) students in Years 4-6 will compete in the 200m running event and students in Years 1-6 will compete in the 100m finals. These events will be held during the middle and afternoon sessions. Students are reminded to come to school dressed in sports uniform, including their school hat and appropriate running shoes. Unfortunately parents can not attend due to COVID restrictions, however we will endeavour to share the races with you.
