25.01.2022 This is Anthony one of our deck crew. He has been on the orpheus for over 100ton of meat this year. That over 7 million shell shucked on board. He loves the ocean and has become a major part of our company. Being a qualified welder he helps out in town on refits and works in the factory during the offseason. Well done Anthony that takes some balls to last the whole season.

25.01.2022 Didn't take long after boat left for the resident seagulls to start nesting. They have got 2 eggs they are hatching in that coil of rope and they better hurry up before the crew get back.

24.01.2022 Fresh fish heads and frames for bait or stocks available today and tomorrow morning. Just want my baskets back.

23.01.2022 Fresh pink snapper and baldchin groper in from Abrolhos island this morning. Shark Bay red emperor and rankin in tomorrow. Will be around shed most of the weekend doing up orders so come down and grab some first class fish. Island pinks are in great condition at the moment.

23.01.2022 Someone sent me this photo of the Orpheus trying to get bit of air. It was taken out of Esperance few years ago and must have been bit shitty to get that much of a 200 ton boat out of the water.

23.01.2022 Small load of fresh bald chin, coral trout, pink, spangle emperor and red emperor in today. Won't last long. Also scallop shells for free if any use to you.

20.01.2022 The Ocean achiever is back after a shortened season prawning in shark Bay with some large U6 tigers and large kings from the last few weeks. Considering we almost didn't send the boat with the virus the season turn out reasonable with larger prawns and Macca and his crew produced some excellent product. Got some fresh fish from the Abrolhos in today, dhufish, coral trout and Pink snapper. Still not enough to make Darby smile.

20.01.2022 The Abrolhos scallop season is underway and the catch will be down from last year but quality is good with Gary and crew shucking Australia's best half shell Scallops this trip. Even with power outages the production still goes on. Keep a look out for our local crumbed scallops in IGA stores throughout WA. We fared well in the cyclone but our thoughts are with our MIdwest neighbors that were hit hard.

18.01.2022 Boys off on another trip to the Abrolhos Islands scalloping. Should be out 15-20 days this time. Geoff is back at the wheel with Gary, giving Bob some time off with his kids for school holidays. With the swell dropping there should be some big shots of scallops to be found.

18.01.2022 Think we need a bigger truck, another trip of Abrolhos scallops off the Orpheus. The size is a little smaller than usual but number are good. Hopefully some of these will be going oversea soon. The locals and Geraldton restaurants have been great with the uptake of "eat local"and we thank them all as they are keeping the local crews employed. Will have fresh fish in for next few days and Shark Bay King prawns are in the peak of the season.

17.01.2022 Our local seagulls egg just hatched 1 hr ago. not great photo as they wont let me get close. Its like world war 3 here at the moment. They are attacking anything that gets near.

15.01.2022 Fresh fish in today. got pink snapper, rankin cod and goldband snapper. Reds all taken by local restaurants. Good to see lots of line caught local fish being eaten in our local restaurants. And also Muzza is not that tall. Jess and Joyce were dragged of peeling Shark Bay king prawns for bit of model work.

13.01.2022 Free cray bait today, first in, just wash tubs and return.

11.01.2022 Fresh fish tomorrow for Easter. Frozen local fillets in stock. Sorry to say we are completely out of whole prawn. The season is starting after Easter this year so no prawns for another 3 weeks. Latitude and Queens IGA may still have some of our prawns. Orpheus has unloaded new season Abrolhos scallop so plenty in stock.

10.01.2022 Will have fresh fish in tomorrow, been bit light on with this weather. Scallops and prawn still coming in.

07.01.2022 Fresh fish in. Bit of variety. Pink, red emperor, fox fish, tomato cod. Fish frames available for cray bait.

07.01.2022 New season half shell in today, Have few fresh of the boat if anyone is interested.

05.01.2022 Bald chin Groper in today from Abrolhos. Will have fillets ready from 9.00 to 1.00 today. Fish frames available free. Also Pink and goldband from shark bay fresh at the moment.

05.01.2022 The Orpheus of for last trip of season. Just finished unloading a large load of half shell scallops and now back out to try filling up again before the end of the month. Been a great year at the Abrolhos and the old girl might be due for a bit of refit work before the next venture. It has been a mighty old boat for us and is older than most of the people on board.

04.01.2022 Fresh fish in today and Saturday for long weekend. Anais our french processor with a nice Red Emperor from Nathans boat in Carnarvon. New season scallop, whiting, bugs and squid from Shark Bay in stock. Local ocy back in stock today and fish heads available. Have a safe long weekend

04.01.2022 For the people that could not get pink snapper last week we have plenty in now from the Abrolhos. Also cray bait and frames available. Girls are peeling King prawns today off the Ocean Achiever from Shark Bay. As usual we have plenty of scallops in all sizes and a new marinated scallop to try. The sweet McBoats crumbed scallop have been very popular with the tourists over the school holidays with many repeat orders coming in.

04.01.2022 Scallop bags still coming up full. With the good weather this week catches have stayed solid and the Orpheus will be in this week almost full to unload. With just over a month to end of season we will start focusing on half shell for our restaurants in WA and over east. This will mean some large fresh product for our local buyers. I will put a message out when its available. Fresh Fish is hard to get this week but we will have some in on Friday. Video needs a bit of editing but we are fishermen not media gurus.

03.01.2022 Bobs loaded the boat up with a few scallops for the deckies to shuck. To our fresh fish buyers weather has been against fishermen all week but should have some fresh fish earlier next week.

02.01.2022 Tan with a nice Red Emperor. Fresh fish in today from shark bay. Red Emperor, Rankin cod, pink snapper and few others. Be quick before our Geraldton restaurants buy it all up.
