05.01.2022 To make sure you’re getting the most accurate rapid antigen test result, it’s important you to do the test the right way. For nasal swab rapid antigen tests, ma...ke sure you’re swabbing back and not up. This is because you want to take a sample from the back of your nose, known as the nasopharynx, not your nostrils. There are different rapid antigen testing kits available so make sure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions provided within the testing kit. If your rapid antigen test is positive, register your result through the Service NSW website and immediately self-isolate for 7 days. If you need help registering your positive result online, call Service NSW on 13 77 88. You do not need to register a negative or invalid test result. 01.01.2022 Extraordinarily powerful, thought provoking, encouraging, inspiring and wonderful were some of the comments made about presentations at MCCI's 10th CALDWays Conference, Diversity & Inclusion Less Talk More Action last week. "Bringing communities together is what we at MCCI do best - and we’ve been doing it for over 45 years", said MCCI's Chairman Ken Habak OAM when he welcomed well over 100 people who connected online for the two-day virtual conference to learn and discuss ...how to work with multicultural communities and develop culturally intelligent aged care services. It has been an amazing event with people attending across Australia and what a treat to have our keynote speaker Dr Nita Mosby Tyler, directly from the USA, engage with questions from participants in real time. It really shows the opportunities we have connecting across borders and learning from experiences elsewhere in the world, said MCCI's Cecilia Milani, Manager for Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) NSW & ACT. The recordings from the conference will be available for a cost. Please contact MCCI for more information. This event was financed by the Australian Government Department of Health.
