17.01.2022 The ICC Women's T20 World Cup Event is fast approaching! Join the Women of the MCC and MCC members for a Pre-Game Cocktail Function on Sunday 8 March on the Robbie Flower Terrace at the MCG. A panel of influential women in sport will provide key insights. Time: 3.30pm - 5.30pm (with Katy Perry scheduled to perform at 5.45pm)... Cost: $60 per person. Your ticket includes substantial hot and cold canapes, and a drink voucher on arrival. A cash bar will be available. Function bookings via Try Booking! This event is proudly hosted by the Women of the MCC with the support of the ICC T20 World Cup and the MCC, as well as Cricket Victoria. Tickets to the match if you haven’t already purchased them are still available. The Robbie Flower Terrace is on Level 4 behind Bay Q46 so if you haven’t purchased tickets yet there is an opportunity to get them close to the function location.

15.01.2022 CALLING ALL WRITERS TO THE BALCONY BANTER BLOG Come on. `Fess up. You might not have told anyone (yet) but deep down you really want to be a writer. And maybe even a sports writer. Well, here’s your chance to take that first step and hit the keyboard, or pen something with your thumbnail dipped in tar. The MCC website gives you the opportunity to start your writing career by publishing your stories on our Balcony Banter blog!... You can write anything with an MCC flavour, or even a hint of an MCC flavour. We’re just looking for good stories. Serious. Poignant. Moving. Funny (we like funny). You might write a memoir (of a great day at the MCG), or a match report, or an expose of your standard MCC ritual. It might be a book review, a tour through the various bars, the story of the friend or rellie who nominated you, or a yarn about someone who’s been an MCC member forever. You might play for one of the MCC Clubs we’re sure there’s a story in that. Whatever you like. And don’t worry if you have a bit of grammar-phobia. Your words (we like stories to be 500 - 1200 words long) will be whipped into shape standard practice at any media platform - by sports writer John Harms who has been coordinating Balcony Banter for the past 3 years.
