24.01.2022 First job out of the workshop for 2021. Ive been working on this project for a while, I have noticed that a lot of fantastic art deco wardrobes have become to large for modern homes. With a bit of cut and paste it was converted into a hall stand.

24.01.2022 Fresh from the mail box is Australiana Magazine, its only available via subscription to The Australiana Society.

23.01.2022 This art deco table is ready to start work in its new home. The bace is made from Queensland maple, silky oak and pine. The inlay on the top is walnut, camphor laurel and red cedar.

22.01.2022 No traditional Queenslander house is complete without its french doors. This set of red cedar french doors have been returned to their original state. Next step is to polish up the brass handles and lock.

21.01.2022 I picked this silky oak office chair up from an antique store in Rockhampton over the weekend. I love the quarter cut silky oak on the rounded arms. It only needed a good clean and polish to look its best.



21.01.2022 Made in Lowell, Massachusetts USA by Melvin Bancroft Co. This adjustable, high back, spindle piano stool is quite rare in Australia. The surface finish had deteriorated significantly, with a good clean and polish it came up a treat.

We have created four stories and will be releasing a video a day about some of our favourite places to visit and some new places. First up the owners of Baddow House share the story of the restoration of this beautiful heritage landmark and family home.

17.01.2022 Just delivered this afternoon was this pine duchess. This piece was use by it current owner when she was a little girl. Its all ways great to see pieces of furniture stay in their family.



15.01.2022 With a good clean and polish, cane furniture can come up looking fantastic.

15.01.2022 My last job I squeezed in before Christmas was this red cedar tilt top table. The mechanism use to tilt the top was broken and the top needed a repolish. It's a fantastic way to see the amazing grain of red ceder furniture.

14.01.2022 Fresh from the workshop this afternoon are these silver Ash end tables and calver chair.

13.01.2022 Hidden under layers of paint was this silky oak wash stand. The original brass hardware cleaned up nicely. Unfortunately the marble top had cracked I did my best to make a frame to support it.

10.01.2022 It was an early start today as I had a road trip out to Dysart and Clermont. This table needed some onsite work as it was to heavy to shift. With a deep clean and a polish it was looking great.

Key objects from this newly acquired collection will be displayed in an exhibition from March 2021.

06.01.2022 This red cedar buttlers table was originally designed as a workspace in a buttlers pantry, the table was to low to sit at. With a good clean, repolish and New wheels to give it a lift its ready to be sat at be used.

05.01.2022 A repair from last week, this Regency style stools leg was broken in three places. After cleaning the old repair and pining the leg in place the stool it ready to be returned home.
