Learning to enjoy music before it becomes just another piece of homework students have to do. This course is not a replacement for instrument lessons. Rock Music was at its strongest, and it was not uncommon for CDs to sell out on their release date. The songs and singers of that time became A massive influence in helping young adults cope with their negative emotions in a positive way. Songs about life, love, hope and also and often the same artists would also have songs about depression, loneliness or Greif. Often these listeners struggling with mental illness these songs became a lifeline or that someone to turn for just by pressing play. Songs of the grunge revolution helped teach teenagers to express their darker emotions such as anger and frustration or even getting over that first heart break. Inserting hope into millions of people all over the world. The harsh truth is that unfortunately, a lot of modern pop music today is manufactured to sell not heal and Artists are signed to record labels to be molded and shaped for money or fame. Personally, the music I was surrounded by shaped the musician that I was to become. I was 11 years old when I started writing songs, writing over 150 songs between the age of 12 and 18. All like a diary entries as I was dealing with my own demons. The musicians that inspired multiple generations like Slash, Freddy Mercury or INXS are not seen as frequently in today’s mainstream media. With schools already the best they can to keep music alive in schools, there’s just not enough inspiration in today’s pop music to give students the drive necessary to stick at it. The sound of the future program has been created to give young people a practical jump start into being a musician. E.g. Handing the tools and inspiration we aim to help the younger people of Sunraysia to discover the lifelong love and support that music can be.
