A larger than life figure around the club in the 70's and 80's , Roger left us many fond memories. We send our deepest sympathies to family and friends.

Always positive, lively and funny, especially enjoyed a laugh at the cricket. Strong until the end. She will be sorely missed, never forgotten. Our thoughts are with Steven Jack,Kate, Jane, Amy and all family & friends.

20.01.2022 Tonight we would have been celebrating at the Presentation night but unfortunately, (I’m assuming) we are all stuck at home on our couches. I just wanted to finish this season on a high by saying a huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped out at the Ladies Day. It was an amazing successful day with lots of fun, laughter and dancing, raising around $600. We have donated $200 to the Cancer Council Victoria in memory of the late Jill Massie. ... 14.01.2022 Ok girls, this one is for us. We are bringing back the Ladies Day. We’ve got a lovely 2 course luncheon, a few fun games/prizes, and the best part, a portion of the proceeds going to the Cancer Council. 02.01.2022 Think it’s safe to say, a great day was had by all.

01.01.2022 Hello McKinnon family, Welcome to the festive part of the year, it’s hard to believe half a cricket season has gone already. I’m happy to report that we have finally been able to string some consecutive games of cricket together. Early on it seemed that we had new full time jobs just putting covers down such had been the interrupted season so far! With some on field wins occurring by the teams, we will be looking to build momentum in the second half of the year and play our s...trongest cricket. The 1st XI are sitting in the 4 at the break and have a great opportunity to mix it with the top teams and be playing cricket deep into March. The 2s, 3s and 4s are all set up to strike consistent form and finish strongly. Our Junior teams have shown us highlights of their own and we are excited to see so many kids enjoying their cricket in the famous purple and gold. The U12Bs are leading the charge as they sit equal top of their group, and a special mention to our U16s who have bounced back from a tough start. For mine the standout highlight so far this year was the very successful indigenous game where as a club we received wonderful feedback from Cricket Victoria and Cricket Southern Bayside. The kids and players looked great in their indigenous tops and it was a proud day for the club, the players and the community. We raised $350 for the ASHE Academy and I was absolutely thrilled that we were able to play a big part of such a meaningful event. Off field the Committee is working hard behind the scenes, for the senior players we will shortly have some information on Player of the Year Night of which we have been gathering feedback from the group given it is your night. In January we are having a poker night at the club with the ‘Casino King’ Guy Marrocco in charge, and don’t forget our Balnarring race day on Australia Day being organised by VP Suma. Once again a big thank you to our valued and loyal sponsors and supporters, we are delighted that you are on board. Wishing you all a safe and merry Christmas and a happy new year. Paul Cox See more
