20.01.2022 NEW BUILD | Were excited to get underway on this new build in Cowes. The excavator was put to work today drilling pier holes. Due to the highly reactive soil onsite, we couldnt use a conventional raft or waffle slab here. Instead there will be 138 holes 1.6m deep to carry the weight of this home and with a polished concrete floor planned throughout, the last thing we want is movement and cracking in the slab. 13.01.2022 TECHNICAL TUESDAY Pictures of finished spaces are great but often what sets us apart is found behind the walls or under the floor in this instance. Thats why we thought every week we will concentrate on one of these areas... As our standard practice we use foil board under floor insulation and Bostik Ultraset flexible adhesive to glue bearers and joists together to ensure a squeak free floor.
