22.01.2022 We will be closed on Saturday 29th August due to a family medical emergency. Unfortunately our son is unwell and needs to go to hospital so we have made the decision to closed Saturday. The baker will still be baking bread for the cafes and IGA. If you need our fresh Bread over the weekend please head down to IGA Mareeba. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience.

We have such respect for you and appreciate what you have done for us. You are more then just a landlord to us you are a great friend as well. Thank you so much, we will miss you.

07.01.2022 We also want to make a special thank you to Maria's Mobile Kitchen. For the last 3 years both Maria and our bakery have run Smoko Vans in Mareeba delivery lunches and drinks and of course yummy sweets to local businesses in Mareeba. And even though we have been competitors out there on the road, we have had respect for each other business and menus and never tried to take each others stops. In fact we have built a great relationship with each other in the process and we look... out for each other on the road and work together where we can. The hard times we had during COVID taught us we as businesses need to work together. So as we leave we have organised with the blessing of our customers for Maria to take on a big part of our Smoko Run and our lovely Van driver will be as of next week working with Maria. So thank you Maria, it has been wonderful being out there on the road with you even as competitors. See more

07.01.2022 It is unfortunate to announce that will not be selling bread at McPherson Family Bakery. This is due to the major decrease in bread sales over the past few months (from selling 150 loaves a day to 12 loaves a day) and also only having 1 baker for the past 9 months. I hope everyone understands and are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We will be open still and baking Pastry’s, Cakes, doughnuts, fresh made sandwiches and Pie’s. Plus this will give us time and the energy we need to focus on expanding our pie, pastry and cake ranges.

03.01.2022 I want to say a big thank you everyone for such kind words in regards to us removing bread from our bakery and for being so understanding. We really appreciate your support. So THANK YOU so so much. It wasn’t an easy decision to make however we are so excited about what we will be doing next which is creating a new pie range, cake and pastry range and of course expanding our sandwich bar. And it’s glad to hear our customers are excited to see what happening with our product range next.
