22.01.2022 How are all our members entertaining themselves over this time. Stay safe and healthy. Shuttlecock in the back yard with family would be great. Hitting a shuttle up against the brick wall is good practice. See how many you can do. Get family with a number of shuttles in centre of room or backyard, player in each corner and see who can run and collect a shuttle return to corner and off again, great for lunges. 20.01.2022 Yesterday I was delighted to visit Pinks Reserve in Kilsyth to launch the implementation of the masterplan and kick off works that will transform this fantastic sporting precinct. This project will provide an upgrade for every sport that is played there - football, basketball, netball, softball, cricket, table tennis and badminton, delivering in full the commitment we made at the last election. Within the month, works will start on the first two projects - upgrades for table ...tennis and softball. Well done to all the leaders, volunteers and players of our local clubs for their input to the masterplan, can’t wait to see this fantastic project take shape! Monday night is Veterans Class 5 members night BUT you must text 0429820000 to book as still restrictions are in place. Limited numbers. No just drop in will be allowed. Class 1 teams levy season will run Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday night. Again Club Secretary MUST book on above number. NO EXTRAS. We are certain everyone will abide with restrictions to all keep safe.

08.01.2022 Mountain District Badminton Association were sadden to receive the news that Steve Farrell passed away on Friday. Many of our long standing players will remember Steves jovial larger than life manner on and off the court. Steve played and contributed towards the upgrade to our stadium over the years. He has not played with us for a short time but we certainly pass on our condolences to his family.

03.01.2022 Mountain District Badminton Association Board of Management wish to advise members and players that after receiving advice from Badminton Victoria and Victorian Government and Health Department we have closed our doors to Competition until week starting 13th April. Any further updates will be advised ASAP. Maybe your circumstances have changed and you are now able to play in a team either mid week night time or daytime. Courts also available for hire. Please get in touch if you are interested joining us, full time or as an emergency.

01.01.2022 We are patiently waiting for the go ahead for internal sporting Associations to be allowed to open. We need State Government and Council clearances. The stadium is ready, the courts are ready, the facilities are ready. Hand sanitiser is all around the stadium. Shower cubicles will remain closed. Numbers will be reduced at any one time. Temperature checks, sign in sheets may all need to be done, but we will return for a Spring season and court bookings. Looking forward to catching up with all our patrons.
