25.01.2022 Reminder there is no meeting tonight for the P&F as the parent forum was held last Wednesday. There will be a meeting on 31st August. Current agenda items include technology proposal distributed with newsletters on 4th August and a discussion around school sports gala days.

25.01.2022 Due to lack of RSVP's (less than 10), we are canceling the State of Origin night for the MDP men this year. We will do it again next year. Hopefully Game 2 is back to a Wednesday night. Go the Blues!!!

23.01.2022 There were some tears this morning, complaints of not being able to stay up late anymore because "school nights" apply again, a need to be up and at school on time and some reluctant returners at Mater Dei Catholic Primary School this morning, but we have told the staff they have to be there! No issues from any of the students! Welcome back to the entire school community. Looking forward to another big year in 2018!

22.01.2022 Welcome back to school for staff and students. Many happy faces catching up with friends again after the holidays, as well as a few sad faces, mainly the teachers! Looking forward to a great school year again for the entire community.

22.01.2022 Today, World Teachers Day was celebrated at Mater Dei Catholic Primary School. Students wrote notes of thanks to their teachers and the Parent Reps provided morning tea for the staff (Thank you Parent Reps). We are lucky to have such great staff caring and nurturing our children each school day, and as a community, we are very thankful to all of them. ... To all the teaching and support staff at Mater Dei, thank you for all you do.

21.01.2022 A reminder that the Welcome Evening for Kinder and New families is this Friday night. The night is a relaxed evening, welcoming new community members. 18.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who helped organise and run the welcome evening last night. Great, relaxed community gathering. Given there was still about 9 cars in the carpark at midday, a few people may have enjoyed it more than others!!! Hope everyone there had a great time and met some new people.

15.01.2022 Book in a Blue Rinse on the 11th July. The men of Mater Dei Primary are invited to the Farmers Home to watch the third State of Origin Game. 15.01.2022 The Mater Dei Catholic Primary School Uniform Shop is opening during the school holidays for uniform purchase on Friday 6th October, 10 am to 12 noon. This is the last Friday of school holidays.

Always a great social night catching up with friends or meeting new people. $5 "First Try Scorer" and "Pick the Margin" pools to make it interesting.... 14.01.2022 Some parents may have seen the news that cords on school hats are being removed in South Australian schools after a couple of incidents causing injuries to students. Following some contact from parents this week and discussions with the school, parents can remove the cords from the current school hats if they wish. A new style of hat that doesn't have the under-chin strap is available at the uniform shop and we will look for alternative options for future stock orders. ... Thanks to the parents who contacted the P&F regarding this.

14.01.2022 Well, that is a wrap. What a great year again at MDP. Thanks to everyone in the community for the support of the school in 2017. All the best to the families leaving the school this year. Thanks for your many years of involvement. We wish you well in your future adventures. The staff will be no doubt hanging around at a local watering hole, so if you would like one more parent-teacher interview for the year, feel free to find them, although I would steer clear after about... 8pm. 10.01.2022 With the 2016 school year finishing today, the P&F would like to thank all families for the support of the school throughout the year. Today, a number of families will leave the school, ending many years of membership and support of the school. We thank them for all the support and memories during their time at Mater Dei Primary. We hope all staff, students and families have a safe and enjoyable Christmas Holidays.

Most positions will have volunteers so don't be scared to attend, although anyone can nominate for any of the positions. At the moment there is currently not a volunteer for the P&F Representative on the School Board. If anyone is interested in nominating, feel free to message us.... Following the AGM, a general meeting will set out plans for this year, including parent forums, fundraisers and community events. Any anxious parents can be assured that the beautiful staff are ready to love, nurture and teach their children. 07.01.2022 Great to see so many parents, grandparents, and friends at the school today to help celebrate Book Week 2016. Thanks to everyone who sent in morning tea following the grandparent's liturgy or who helped with the bbq lunch. Another beautiful community day. 05.01.2022 Notice of P&F AGM: 2018 AGM & first general meeting will be held on 28th Feb in the staffroom at 6:30pm. P&F Executive will be elected by those present at the meeting. Plans will also be made for community events and fundraising priorities for 2018. Everyone is invited to attend and no one will be forced into a role. This is an opportunity to have a say in many aspects of the school and to support the school community. We hope to see some new and returning faces on the 28th.
