14.01.2022 NEWS FROM THE MEADERY! This week we had the MEADERY grounds assessed and accepted into the "Land For Wildlife" program. There were well over 50 species of awe...some native plants identified with 2 in particular being extra special. One is the "Carronia Vine" which is the only food source for the larvae of the very rare and endangered "Pink Underwing Moth" (google it :) ) and the other was the Milla Milla Vine which produces the exceptional Milla Milla Berry that we are going to incorporate in an upcoming MEAD. This berry is excellent bush tucker and has an almost raspberry flavour. Amrita Park Meadery is proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming Red Hill MEAD Show. This will be the largest MEAD show in Australia and we encourage all Mead Makers both profesional and amature to get your entries in ASAP. You will get great feedback from leading judges in the field and will be supporting a great industry. We also received a few photos this week from the MX5 club run to the MEADERY last year. it was a great day with everyone having a ball. We love having car and bike groups/clubs visit so if you are involved with a group looking for something a bit different for your next event give us a call.
