21.01.2022 Just be kind.... it costs you nothing

20.01.2022 There is no law in Australia that says a woman must change her name when she marries. Changing your name (both men and women) after you get married is a CHOICE. Do it or don't do it, keep your own name, choose either partner's name, double barrel both names, hyphen it, or pick a completely new name altogether. You can even change your name for personal and keep your name for business... You are two individuals, therefore your names are your names until you choose to chan...ge them. Your surnames are not changed automatically after marriage. It is something that you have to have to make a decision to do, then there are steps to take in order to get it done. While it is 'tradition' for women to take their husband's name after marriage, this was born from women having no legal rights. They couldn't sign legal documents or own property, therefore they had to 'become one' with their husband in order to survive..... Thank goodness we have progressed somewhat! Together with Marriage Equality bringing in a new perspective, the number of people retaining their maiden name is growing. You may have children and want your family to have the same name..... you may have a name you don't enjoy and don't wish to keep..... What ever you choose - that's ok. However we still need to practice social distancing, so your location will need to be able to accommodate the 2 square metre per person rule... and I will be required to record every attendee's name and contact details for tracing purposes in case of an outbreak.

13.01.2022 So this weekend I got to marry these two amazing people - Beck & Jade The day was perfect, the sun was shining and there were smiles aplenty! The ceremony was held on the little beach at Jettys Bar & Grill on the Murray River in South Yunderup and the reception just a few metres away upstairs at Jettys.... The plans they had for a big celebration had to be postponed until it was safe for people to travel from over east.
