12.01.2022 New Release: Genji Challa Jimma, Ethiopia | Washed | Light & Floral Mike Mamo is the owner of Addis Exporters. He operates a dry mill and facilitates export services. Mike took over operations of the company from his father who founded it over 65 years ago. Mike now owns his own washing station in Agaro, Jimma called ‘Telila’ where Genji Challa is from.... Working with around 50 individual farms in Agaro the washing station boasts state of the art processing facilities capable of washing up to four thousand kilograms of green coffee per hour with the utmost precision. Genji Challa is our final release of Ethiopia this year. In the cup there’s a crisp jasmine and peach flavour. Simple yet delicious.

10.01.2022 SHOWCASE RELEASE: Juana & Raymundo Lopez Oaxaca, Mexico | Washed | Pluma Hidalgo This showcase is from Juana Lopez and hails from San Pedro El Alto municipality in Oaxaca, Mexico, and took our fancy with its outstanding flavours of camomile tea and freshly cut sugarcane. The coffee's varietal is Pluma Hidalgo, a progeny of Typica local to the area that was first introduced in the 1850's. It was named after a small town about an hour's drive from Juana's farm, and t...here's no doubt residents of the region are proud of this unique varietal. We feel this coffee is worthy of the showcase title as it offers us an exciting glimpse into the true potential of an undervalued coffee region and a success story about a producer who made the leap into selling their coffee on the specialty market.
