17.01.2022 It’s not only doctors that need stethoscopes - Aaron is checking for signs of life in this Subaru’s air conditioning system! This process allowed us to locate a hard to find leak from the evaporator, which is located behind the dash in the vehicle - unfortunately not good news for our customer though :(

17.01.2022 We are sorry to see this classic leave the workshop, but couldn’t be more proud of the quality of repairs that we carried out It was such great fun to be able to work on a car that was built in much simpler times, but to such quality - they just don’t build them like that anymore!!

14.01.2022 HJ Holden Wagon update. All rust repairs have been done. Now the painstaking task of putting it all back together again starts. Then prep for painting. It’s been over 4 years so far but we will get there.

08.01.2022 Boat trailers require more maintenance due to being put into water and then sitting for long periods between use. If you see excessive signs of rust it might be time to replace some components. Spring and U bolts are something that have to be replaced over time. Mechanics 2 U can repair and replace any rusted out components on your trailer. So be safe over the holidays and make sure your equipment is up to scratch. 06.01.2022 Holden HJ Wagon update. After 5 years of prep she went off to the paint shop and has returned a different vehicle now the arduous task of putting it all back together starts. I’m hoping it will be back on the road by Xmas, I just don’t know which Xmas yet.

02.01.2022 Trailers are another important piece of equipment that require servicing. If you have trailer depending on how it is used it will require servicing and checking periodically. Avoid sitting on the side of the road waiting for assistance because a wheel bearing has failed or have and accident due to brake failure. This trailer weighs in at 3500 kg when the excavator is on it and none of the brakes where working due to being worn out. The only indication there was an issue is wh...en the vehicle towing it had difficulty stopping.
