24.01.2022 To be honest, Im feeling quite helpless & far removed from the disaster in QLD, NSW & VIC here in the sunny skies of WA. It all seems very surreal. Ive been watching with my heart in my mouth, and tears in my eyes, the scale of these devastating blazes. I dont want to have a political rant, we all have our opinions... which at times like these dont help at all.... During these awful times, we can best contribute by taking any action we can. 09.01.2022 Holy shit balls. What a start to 2020! Our move went well (there were tears and laughter) and were settled, and in Iso from The Rona like the rest of you. I hope you guys are doing ok? I know the freaking hilarious memes, online video chats and booze have been fuelling us all thus far. But my goodness, when I stop to really think about it its a bit damn scary yes?! SO I hope youre learning to slow down, chilling in the safety of your home, getting back to some reading,... yoga, or any hobby that youve missed, maybe youre meditating, keeping daily journals, or sweating it out to online HIIT session on your lounge (and washing your hands). Or all of the above - cause 24 hours seems to have gotten a shit load looooonger! Im spending my days being a teacher (GOD BLESS OUR TEACHERS (and heath care workers) riding bikes along the river, skating on our street with the kids (& im not bad!), walking along beaches and headlands and looking in rock pools etc - oh and eating and drinking like a pro But what else I wanted to let you know is, my online shop is OPEN AGAIN! What better time to send love notes to people, beautifully thought out words to say; hi and I miss you and I hope youre ok. Really... time to get sending LOVE NOTES! Dont get me wrong I dont begrudge any small business for having a lil ol sale. Shop till ya drop if your fave small biz can do that today But its hard for smaller business to compete with the big guys, and knock off 40% from any already small profits. Since moving Ive noticed some of you are def new, so wanted to say a big HI to any new friends, esp those from around the Clarence Valley.. Im Michelle the designer behind Media Freedom Paper Co. Thought maybe I should share a little bit about me:... Tea over Coffee. Night Owl - a habit Id love to break. Summer beaches over snowy mountains. I travelled to my hearts content in my 20s - last count was about 35 countries. Youll likely hear some heavy metal if you ride in my car. Im chatty, a bit sweary (sorry not sorry) and probably too sarcastic. Im a Leo, and fiercely loyal. I never watched a single episode of Game of Thrones. Procrastination is my cardio. Not really, I love to train, especially in groups of chatty friends with wicked senses of humour. I studied Visual Art at the Uni of Sydney and found digital art by accident, helping out a lecturer with the student magazine. But Id like to go back to more tactile art making I grew up in beautiful Yamba, and have recently returned to live with my husbo & kids, after 24 years away! , feeling so lucky.
