She has been working as a general practitioner at Hope Island, Gold Coast for 4 years. Originally from Myanmar (Burma), she migrated to Australia in 2010. She has the 5 years working experience at Hospitals in Australia. Dr Thandar has completed the Specialist GP Training in 2016 in Australia. She is passionate in the holistic family practice and keen to provide continuity of care to the local people. Dr Thandar has additional qualifications: Diploma in Child Health (Sydney Westmead Children Hospital, Diploma in Dermatology (Australian Institute of Dermatology), Advanced Certificate in Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer. She is also an accredited member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. She is also interested in family planning, fertility and sexual health. She is experienced with pap smear, contraceptive counselling, insertion and removal of contraceptive implants and Menopause management. Her usual days of practice are Wednesday and Thursday.

13.01.2022 Telehealth consultation ! Department of health, medicare announced telehealth consultation availability from the 13th of March 2020. Please see the following eligibility. 1. Vulnerable/isolated patients are those where at least one of ... the following apply: (a) the person has been diagnosed with COVID-19 virus but who is not a patient of a hospital; or (b) the person has been required to isolate themselves in quarantine in accordance with home isolation guidance issued by Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC); or (c) the person is considered more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus being a person who is: (i) at least 70 years old; or (ii) at least 50 years old and is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; or (iii) is pregnant; or (iv) is a parent of a child under 12 months; or (v) is already under treatment for chronic health conditions or is immune compromised; or (d) the person meets the current national triage protocol criteria for suspected COVID-19 infection. 2. A health professional at risk for COVID-19 means a person that: (a) has been diagnosed with COVID-19 but who is not a patient of a hospital; or (b) has been required to isolate themselves in quarantine in accordance with home isolation guidance issued by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee. Patient must have seen a doctor in our practice in last 12 months. 13.01.2022 FYI COVID-19 update for Gold Coast From 8am tomorrow, restrictions on gatherings and aged care will extend to the Gold Coast, after two Pimpama residents tested positive to COVID-19.... Gatherings in people’s homes and outdoors are limited to 10 people for residents in Gold Coast, Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Scenic Rim, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, Moreton Bay, and Redlands council areas. Everywhere else, gatherings in people’s homes and outdoors are limited to 30 people. Visits to aged care and disability accommodation services are limited on the Gold Coast and in Greater Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds. Venues and events that follow COVID Safe Industry Plans can continue operating, including cafés, restaurants, clubs, pubs, weddings and funerals. 08.01.2022 FYI Positive coronavirus (COVID-19) case confirmed linked to hotel cleaner The partner of the quarantine hotel cleaner who tested positive to the UK variant of COVID-19 on 7 January 2021, has also tested positive to COVID-19. The man has been in quarantine since 7 January 2021, he has been tested twice, with one coming back positive today.

During this time he has been further trained in a wide range of specialties in tertiary hospitals all over Australia. His passion for providing holistic care to patients has lead him to commit to General Practice. Dr Linn holds the Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in addition to Diplomas in both Child Health and Dermatology, and certificates in Dermoscopy as well as Emergency Medicine. He is interested in managing not only Acute Medical Conditions, but also Chronic Disease, Preventative Health, Travel Medicine, Skin Cancer and common dermatologic conditions.
