18.01.2022 They brought balloons to a school. One was given to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The professors the...n mixed all the balloons. The students were given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon. At that point the professors told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes everyone had their own balloon. The professors said to the students: These ballons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness... we'll find ours too."

08.01.2022 A customer asked me how much I would charge to paint his two story foyer. My reply: $1500 His reply: WOW, just to paint a couple walls? Why so much? My reply: Well, this estimate also includes for the non productive factors. He questioned: What is nonproductive factors?"... My reply: Just the usually things like taxes, insurance, rent, fuel etc, etc. I asked: How much do you think it should cost? He responded matter-of-factly: Around $800 at the most... It's just painting and a fairly simple job right? I calmly said: Okay sir, for $800 I invite you to do it yourself. He said: But.... I don't know how to. I replied: Okay, for $800 I'll teach you. So besides saving you $700, you'll get the knowledge for the next time. It seemed right to him and he agreed. I continued: To get started you will need tools, drops, ladders, scaffolds, brushes, poles etc... He said: But I don't have all this type of equipment and I can't afford to buy all of these things just to paint my foyer. I offered: Okay then, for an additional $200 I'll rent my equipment to you. Okay, he says. I replied: So on Tuesday I will be available to start teaching you. He said: But I can't on Tuesday I only have time today. I said: I'm sorry sir, but Tuesday is the only day this week that I will be available to teach and rent you my equipment. The rest of the week is already scheduled for other customers. He exclaimed frustated: Damn! That means I gotta rearrange my schedule and sacrifice my whole Tuesday?! I said: That is correct sir! I will also provide you with a list of all the materials you will need to go to the store and purchase for this job. Also, loading of the van for your job will take place Tuesday morning around 6am. After the project is complete, all equipment and tools need to be cleaned and reloaded back onto the van. He asked in disbelief: At 6am??? Nope! Way too early for me! So much work just to do a little bit of painting! You know what, I've been doing some serious thinking and I've decided that it would be best if you just went ahead and did the job for me. $1500 seems fair now and I'd rather it be done right by true professionals. The moral of the story for any buyer: When you hire a professional to do a job, you're not only paying for the labor and material being used. It also includes: Knowledge Experience Tools Services Punctuality Accountability Professionalism Accuracy Guarantee Sacrifices Safety and security Now apply this to film/video/events: No one can denigrate other people's work by judging prices. Only by knowing all the elements necessary to complete a certain project can you estimate the true cost. Copy and Share this everywhere to support craftsmen and entrepreneurs of all types.
05.01.2022 UPDATE: Great news!! The Casey highway patrol picked up a guy driving my ute! He is in custody, the police are keeping it for analysis for a couple of days but... apparently I should get it back next week. I don’t know too many details yet. But the officer said it was in good condition and there’s still a lot of my stuff still in it. Thank god for stupid criminals! Still driving it around the area it was stolen from. Thank you everyone for all your support and shares. It’s totally blown me away how many people have offered help! Hey everyone I’m putting a heartfelt plea out to anyone who sees or knows anything about the theft of my ute from a worksite in Clyde north. 2 guys in a white commodore pulled up out the front of our job site. One guy jumped into my ute and took off with it. This ute was my pride and joy. I’d spent hundreds of hours fitting it out the way I wanted. It had tools in it left to me by my late father. Gold panning equipment and too many memories and adventures to count. Due to the circumstances of the theft insurance won’t cover it. It has Victorian plates 1PS2UG. It also has a snorkel on it now, my brother got me for Christmas that we spent 5 hours on installing ourselves. I will offer a reward to anyone who has information that leads to its return. This ute I named Brutis means more to me than any monetary value. I built it for my solo trip to cape York. I was the first drive in tourist to make it there that year. And Brutis got me there and back through hundreds of water crossings.
04.01.2022 The famous Italian diver Enzo Mallorca dove into the sea of Syracuse and was talking to his daughter Rossana who was aboard the boat. Ready to go in, he felt... something slightly hit his back. He turned and saw a dolphin. Then he realized that the dolphin did not want to play but to express something. The animal dove and Enzo followed. At a depth of about 12 meters, trapped in an abandoned net, there was another dolphin. Enzo quickly asked his daughter to grab the diving knives. Soon, the two of them managed to free the dolphin, which, at the end of the ordeal, emerged, issued an "almost human cry" (describes Enzo). (A dolphin can stay under water for up to 10 minutes, then it drowns.) The released dolphin was helped to the surface by Enzo, Rosana and the other dolphin. That’s when the surprise came: she was pregnant! The male circled them, and then stopped in front of Enzo, touched his cheek (like a kiss), in a gesture of gratitude and then they both swam off. Enzo Mallorca ended his speech by saying: Until man learns to respect and speak to the animal world, he can never know his true role on Earth." ~ Vangelis.
