04.01.2022 To our dearest sponsors SAHARA DAIRY ,AYKUT AY ,TURKUAZ ,DEMIR GUNUC and two anonymous donors. The month has absolutely flown by, and we're finished my the 202...0 Great Cycle Challenge... WOW! I just wanted to drop you a note to pass on a big THANK YOU for your donations (so far). I've been RIDING on Great Cycle Challenge for a month now, and the level of passion and drive coming from this incredible community still blows me away every single day. You are AWESOME Over the past 26 days, riders from every state and territory have pedalled to fight kids' cancer on all types of bikes and in all kinds of weather. Here are a few of the key stats so far: 23,223 riders are taking part from every state and territory in the country. 97,918 individual donations have been made to support your efforts. $6,466,026 has been raised (so far), making this year's event our biggest EVER in the history of Great Cycle Challenge Australia. Together, you have logged 119,653 rides and ridden a total of 2,638,440 kilometres, which is the equivalent of pedalling non-stop for 5,198 days. ...and we're not done yet. Our sponsors, YOU are part of our movement to end childhood cancer. On the other side, over the 26 days I've been riding in the challenge: 43 Australian families have heard the painful words "your child has cancer." We've lost 9 children to this terrible disease. These families deserve more effective treatments and better outcomes for their kids. And that's why cancer research is so important to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve. Our month of riding will make a huge difference to the children, siblings, parents and families affected by cancer... and we can all strive for the day when childhood cancer is a thing of the past. And our sponsors, thanks so much for being a part of our community. Have a wonderful weekend! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10158869606598328&id=669703327
