17.01.2022 There is no quick fix when it comes to correctly strengthening the alignment of the body. The elegance of the horses frame comes overtime Posture & muscle stabilisation can only develop as fast as the body can maintain growth. You cannot create a perfect riding horse in 6 weeks. The process of developing the horses alignment, balance & poise has all to do with the capacity of the individual. The strength of the horse will continue to develop along with awareness of coordina...tion over years of training. The power of the horse will continuously evolve with correct schooling. A riding horse will continue developing well into their 20’s (even 30’s) when trained with alignment & functional movement. Dysfunction in movement is a result of structural damage & wear. Training with methods that put force on the horses structure will actively break down the horses engineering. These horses suffer from deterioration of the body, injury & commonly early retirement. Pictured below demonstrates both; deterioration & structural wear v.s. healthy development of the body through training. (Pictured Poppy: rehabilitation mare)

13.01.2022 Very well worth a read for all horse owners - this is a well written, informative post of a riders experience with ECVM. Sadly many popular Australian breeds have shown evidence of these genetics (Q.H, Stock horses, Arabians) and more commonly TB’s (over 50% of horses x-rayed are diagnosed) & Warmbloods (now 1/3 x-rayed are diagnosed).

08.01.2022 STARTING YOUNGSTERS UNDER SADDLE The moments captured here show a focused & calm horse, happily carrying a rider for the first time.... What a breeze! The horse comfortable in accepting the rider demonstrates a well rounded education; where trust & understanding has been established A rider who’s taken the time & patience to correctly develop the horses foundations will find themselves with a loyal & safe riding partner. A relaxed first ride is an experience only possible... for a horse who finds trust in the human relationship; a lovely example demonstrated here with this combination. As confidence comes into place both horse & rider are taken out onto the lunge. Having already undergone ground education, the horse is given a sense of security & follows the direction of the human on the ground as the rider introduces the idea of the aids from the saddle. The horse confident in his work gives the rider a sense of security & together, the relaxed experience creates confidence in the combination. The assistance of the lunge line is disconnected once communication between horse & rider is clear. (Description under pictures)
