09.01.2022 Excited by how this image is coming together.

08.01.2022 The Obtuse Angled Platypus - is play on words derived from the local native plant species Platylobium obtusangulum (Common Flat Pea), taught as memory trigger for the plant species name. This mural is about current societal attitude, only allowing nature to exist in contrived unnatural shapes to meet our needs, no longer allowing for diverse natural processes to be supported. The painting style is a merger of artist Melanie Spurlings traditions mural painting style and her ...more abstract style. Finishing touches now added, the unfinished edge of the mural with the community garden bed and a rebuilt preloved bike... the collective of community and their choice will define the future. Located at: The Joinery, 111 Franklin Street Funded by: Splash Adelaide
