25.01.2022 Aboard the PUGMOBILE today we have our slow cooked BIBOOHRA BRISKET ROLL thats made in our very own homemade BBQ sauce and sourcream, we have stuffed toasted in-house baked crossiants, shepherds pies, chocolate mudcake, cheeseburgers and lots more! We are open till 5pm today in the cafe, pop in and try one of our crossiants we bake fresh everyday.

23.01.2022 Quickly put together a platter for some catering today using our own in-house baked croissants and bagels. The smell of croissants in the shop is so delicious.

23.01.2022 So happy to slowly be filling up our shelf of homemade Sauces, Jams, Chutney and Pickles... This is how we started off being self employed under our Avalon Farm Mareeba brand which helped us build our business to where we are now. We used to proudly grow most of our core ingredients but we spend so much time in the cafe now, we only have a small veggie garden at home and of course our 300 Mango trees, so if any of our amazing customers out there ever have fresh produce to sell, hit us up! We LOVE things like: Rosella's, cumquats, egg plant, citrus of all types, big tomatoes, onions, Papaya, pumpkins, melons etc etc..... And happy to pay top dollar for LOCAL homegrown, chemical free produce!!!

18.01.2022 Our weekly delivery of Organic Greens from Mareeba State School Community garden and Stockade Pastured Free range eggs are in. We also have local sugar bananas, lemons and onions available.

16.01.2022 We are starting to get some really cool entries in for our Halloween colouring in comp. Our most favourite will win a big old jar of mixed lollies. Still got time to enter before Halloween. We have hard copies in the shop or scroll through our posts to the original post to download and print yourself.

We know this $2001 is going to do some real good at a grass roots level in our community. 12.01.2022 Some sneaky catering using our own fresh baked pumpkin scones, crossiants, bagels and donuts this morning as well as loading the PUGMOBILE to the brim always shakes the dust off us in morning! Now for the rest of the day lol!

12.01.2022 This is our first amazing donation of presents for our Christmas tree given by the amazing Pauline. They will be forwarded to the Mareeba Conference of St Vincent de Paul who will distribute them to kids in need just before Christmas. This is COMMUNITY, this is LOVE and this is the Christmas SPIRIT. Thank you Pauline, you absolutely rock!

12.01.2022 After peeling each one of these little darlings, we brined for 24 hours and then popped in jars with spiced vinegar. Not ready to eat for another two weeks but we've popped them on the shelf. Love local onions!!

11.01.2022 Happy Monday! The marvellous Mavis and the Pugmobile are out and about. Mavis has bacon and egg bagels, toasted croissants, burgers and bacon and egg pies today. Mavis also has meat and salad bagels and sangers and fresh made donuts. We are open in the cafe until 2pm and have fresh baked bagels, croissants, pies and donuts ready to go and much more. Have a wonderful start to the week everyone.

09.01.2022 And drum roll please...... Our community tip jar raised $133 this month and its our absolute pleasure to match this amount 100% so we have a grand total of $266 going to the Mareeba Animal Refuge. Thanks again to all our amazing customers.

05.01.2022 We are open until 2pm today! If your looking for a perfect Christmas gift for a foodie, come in and have a gander at our range of homemade sauce, jams and chutney. You might remember our goodies when we used to be called Avalon Farm Mareeba and we had market stalls across the tablelands. We don't grow as much of our ingredients anymore as we are so busy with the cafe BUT we do source them locally.

05.01.2022 So you bloody amazing wonderful people have done the most extraordinary job of helping us decorate our Christmas tree! We have raised some really decent coin so far for PCYC Mareeba but we have a second part to our Christmas tree this year. We know we ask ALOT from our amazing customers and we are always so grateful for all of the support you give us towards our community initiatives but we desperately need your help again to fill the bottom of this tree with children's prese...nts. The presents will then be given to the Mareeba Conference of St Vincent de Paul who will distribute them to kids who need them just before Christmas. We will kick off tomorrow with $100 worth of pressies from us, if anyone would like to contribute a gift please pop in. We ask that gifts remain unwrapped so the members can ensure the right gift goes to the right child. We are taking this week off pies and sausage rolls as its not worth making a big batch of mix for just three days BUT we do have fresh homemade pizza by the slice, today we are making BBQ Chicken and Bacon and Ham and Pineapple.
