24.01.2022 When presenting a talk, don’t think about how the audience will look at you. Think about what value you can give them. PUBLIC SPEAKING TIPS 1. COMPOSE YOURSELF FIRST- Never start talking as soon as you are introduced. Take a minute to walk out on stage or on camera. Take a deep breath and smile and wave at your audience before you begin. We know it will seem like an eternity but it will give you confidence. Speaking right away is a sign of nerves and could lead to an awkward ...moment right off the bat. 2. DRESS THE PUBLIC SPEAKING PART- It doesn’t matter what type of audience you are speaking to at a business meeting. You should always dress up instead of down. This shows the audience that you care about them enough to look your best. Public speaking is really about listening, and effective listeners make the best public speakers. When crafting a presentation, keep your audience’s questions and pain points in mind. Good listeners also make the best leaders. When you listen and understand your employees’ concerns, you can build a dedicated team. Also, truly listening to your customers will show you how to serve them better. Making public speaking fun is the thing that will take an average public speaker and give them enough practice to turn them into a great public speaker. #speakingstyles #publicspeaking

23.01.2022 The one thing we all have in common is that we are all different but only slightly different for we are all part of the same tapestry. This is why there are over 7 billion truths in the world today and everyday new truths are born because every one of us is part of the truth. Each holds their own piece of the truth no one person holds all the truth, that is why we can never agree on anything until we join together and agree that it's alright to disagree.

21.01.2022 Let Me Audit Your Video [for FREE]! I love having so many action-takers around me who are creating videos and doing Facebook Lives for their business, this puts you ahead in more ways than you realise But what I have noticed is, us small business owners or solopreneurs are our own worst critic AND other than simply ticking ‘do the video’ off our to-do list, we don’t get the feedback on our videos that would strategically help us to grow our business - that’s the main reason ...we’re doing videos right, to grow our business?! So I’m extending an invitation to one free video audit per business owner, you must: Send me a link to a video which is under 15 minutes Your video should be giving value or sharing your story The purpose of the video you submit is ultimately to grow your brand and your business - as this audit is designed to give you the constructive feedback to have your audience connect with you, the right people reach out to you to enquire about your business and create more sales. This is ideally for: Those who are giving lots of value but aren’t seeing the sales come through directly from their videos Your business is up and running and video is something you’d like to be consistent with You often wonder if you’re doing the right thing and what you could improve You know you could / should be getting more engagement on your videos You want to have people message you after your videos saying OMG, that just spoke to me, I need to work with you I love a good audit and do these all the time for my clients - and thought it would be incredibly useful for others too. As these audits are reviewed by me personally I can only do so many, so these audits are limited to first come first serve. Comment AUDIT below if you’d like one of these

20.01.2022 "Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It's quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that's where you will find success." People who succeed have momentum. The more they succeed, the more they want to succeed, and the more they find a way to succeed. Sim...ilarly, when someone is failing, the tendency is to get on a downward spiral that can even become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Your moment will come when you chase after it, and why not grab it with two hands and kill all the birds with one stone - confidence, clarity, confidence, leads, impact + more! Let's make YOU the biggest competitive advantage you have. 19.01.2022 Communication Tips for Leaders and Managers 1. Active Listening -Effective leaders know when they need to talk and, more importantly, when they need to listen. Show that you care by asking for employees’ opinions, ideas, and feedback. And when they do share, actively engage in the conversationpose questions, invite them to elaborate, and take notes.... It’s important to stay in the moment and avoid interrupting. Keep your focus on the employee and what it is they’re saying. To achieve that, you also need to eliminate any distractions, including constant pings on your cell phone or checking incoming emails. 2. Receiving and Implementing Feedback -Asking for feedback from your team can not only help you grow as a leader but build trust among your colleagues. It’s critical, though, that you don’t just listen to the feedback. You also need to act on it. If you continue to receive feedback from your team, but don’t implement any changes, they’re going to lose faith in your ability to follow through. It’s likely there will be comments you can’t immediately act onbe transparent about that. By letting your employees know they were heard and then apprising them of any progress you can, or do, make, they’ll feel as though you value their perspective and are serious about improving. #speakingstyles #communicationtips

16.01.2022 If you're not comfortable with public speaking - and nobody starts out comfortable; you have to learn how to be comfortable - practice. I cannot overstate the importance of practicing. Get some close friends or family members to help evaluate you, or somebody at work that you trust." Lack of initial rapport with listeners is one of the two biggest errors tied to worshipping the false god of "information delivery". Since many presenters spend all of their time putting togeth...er content, they remain inside the information bubble, forgetting that establishing lines of communication with listeners is all-important. Speaker seems uncomfortable because of fear of failure. Fear announces itself in a speaker, so that the very outcome the person is most afraid of is more likely to occur. Speech anxiety like this often makes speakers avoid eye contact, focusing instead on the back of the room. You should know by now whether you have an expressive face or not. If you don't, work with a mirror and try to match what you're feeling with what you're showing. Facial expressions are important because they strongly indicate motive and intention. 16.01.2022 Many stories matter. Stories have been used to dispossess and to align. But stories can also be used to empower, and to humanize. Stories can break the dignity of a people. But stories can also repair that broken dignity. Importance of Storytelling for Business Storytelling conveys purpose and businesses with purpose are noticed and win the loyalty of consumers. So it's not enough to have a product or service that solves a problem - your company needs to stand out. ... When you come up with an idea for your business there will be a story behind it - whether it's to do with developing a new product or growing your business. Tell this story and provide the context so your customers and stakeholders understand why your service or product is worth buying/investing in. Using storytelling in this way helps the audience to connect with you so they trust you, the human, and therefore they trust the brand. This is especially the case when the story is very relatable, which also has the added benefit of being easier to understand and more memorable as it's personally relevant - the audience can see themselves as the character in the story. 13.01.2022 The Million Dollar Elevator Pitch of 2020!

12.01.2022 A healthy self-love means we have no compulsion to justify to ourselves or others why we take vacations, why we sleep late, why we buy new shoes, why we spoil ourselves from time to time. We feel comfortable doing things which add quality and beauty to life. I found in my research that the biggest reason people aren't more self-compassionate is that they are afraid they’ll become self-indulgent. They believe self-criticism is what keeps them in line. Most people have gotten it wrong because our culture says being hard on yourself is the way to be. #speakingstyles #selcare

10.01.2022 "It is essential to our well-being, and to our lives, that we play and enjoy life. Every single day, do something that makes your heart sing." 10.01.2022 I have a secret weapon, which only a few people know about... Yes, I take people through the ins and outs of speaking and communicating - but this the SKILL level, I also show people how to APPLY this (which may not seem like a secret but let me explain...) There are MANY ways to utilise your voice and speaking abilities, to grow your business and also to add this as a revenue stream, but unless you know how to harness opportunities, you'll watch opportunities float by...... Have you experienced this? The relationships you build, the key influences in your area, the networking, the opportunities to chase after are your secret weapon to success in your business and organisation that will reap the rewards long after the first initial conversation when it’s done in the right way. The processes from emails, to phone calls to meetings and speaking opportunities, are all part of the process to set you up in the right place rather than leaving it all on the table. To maximise in the area you live in and wider. Knowing who the decision-makers are and how to communicate to them easily, confidently and with clarity. My secret weapon is this: Helping others to harness opportunities the way I have so they don't float on by. After spending time building the relationships with the right people it has served me well time and time again, where I get referrals, repeat work, seen as the authority in my field time and time again. From knowing exactly what to say each and every time and did it on a regular basis, I did the work, I spoke to the right people, asked the right question, and gave value at the same time - while getting results in favour of my business. Knowing how to speak and communicate + harness opportunities (by attracting them, chasing them and embracing them) are a killer way to success - and it's all you need to BE the best and be SEEN as the best in your field. Connect with the top business owners, council leaders, MP’s key people in your community to reach more people. Leave a GIF below if this is something you would love to have and know how to achieve.

Will you; wing it, hope your fear just escapes you for the moment and you somehow deliver and epic presentation that wows the audience, and just like that you wondered how you ever found this scary...... plan to prepare and prepare to plan, figure out your gaps, work on the craft of presenting and speaking, and diffuse the nerves, shakes and sweaty palms because you conquered them before you were on the big [or even small] stage? 08.01.2022 If you wish to influence an individual or a group to embrace a particular value in their daily lives, tell them a compelling story. Storytelling tips that will help you engage and even excite your audience 1. Find the Interest... -Who is this group? What turns them on about this topic? Just as important: what do they need? It's a common mistake to try to 'be a great storyteller." That's like capturing the golden prize without undertaking the necessary quest to find it. When you start with an audience's needs, you have a direct line to what you really should be talking about. Once you're there, the story tends to write itself. 2.Speak Emotionally -What you're aiming for are emotional responses on the part of the audience. Data in itself is not typically engaging. 06.01.2022 Effective public speaking is a rare and beautiful art form. Never fear, if you weren’t blessed with perfect presentation skills at birth. When there’s a fear of public speaking, one tends to think the overall goal of a presentation is to not throw up on stage, but actually, the goal of a great presentation is to communicate a message successfully. You can do this in many different ways, but it all starts with research, a focused understanding of your topic, and solid storytel...ling. Make sure to practice your presentation a few times in front of people so you can get comfortable with the material, conquer stage fright, and maybe even pick up a few pieces of feedback. Lots of things can cause a hiccup in a presentation, and really, it happens to everyone now and again, but overall, there are three types of interference: external, internal, and speaker-generated. 02.01.2022 "The art of communication is the language of leadership". Tips For Improving Leadership Communication 1. Be present. ... Business executives, entrepreneurs and leaders of all kinds usually have days with little to no downtime. We rush from meeting to meeting to conference calls rarely taking the time to clear our heads and reset for the next item on our agenda. Most studies show that humans are truly productive for only a few minutes each hour. Mostly due to distractions. Whether you are chatting with a colleague in the break room, on a client call with other team members or leading a company meeting, be actively present in the moment. Be engaged with your audience no matter how trivial you think the conversation may be. That way they know you care. 2. Speak less, listen more Similar to asking the right questions is actively listening to those speaking. We often find ourselves in the bad habit of thinking about what we are going to say next as opposed to actually listening to the other people speaking. When we do that, we aren't truly engaged in the conversation. Leadership isn't about standing on a soap box shouting orders. You often notice that the wisest people listen more and speak less. The less we talk, the more we will learn from those around us. 3. Stay calm and be positive Calm is contagious. And so is panic. Smile. Carry yourself with confidence. And try not to wear your emotions on your sleeve. I am not saying to deny our normal human functions but be aware that effective communication is about 7% the words we say. The rest is about body language, tone and delivery.
