18.01.2022 Truth be told, I have been beginning to feel overwhelmed by the amount of opinions, thoughts, information and energies around me. In all facets of myself, business and life, I have noticed that this is particularly intensified when I go online. So much so, that I was beginning to become confused about which opinions and thoughts were mine and which ones were not. I was becoming distracted by what I should be doing.... What I should be saying. What and who I should be giving attention to. Should. Should. Should. And these should be’s result in a suppression of my own thoughts and ideas. They stop me from sharing my truth and I can begin to feel misaligned. I become bitter. Resentful. Annoyed. They turn me away from my intuition. So what do I do when I find my mind and thoughts cluttered by all of this? When I begin to notice the warning signs- bitterness, judgement, resentment? I sit with them and take a step back. Meditate. Journal. Fresh air. Nature. Rest and sleep. Art. Movement. All of my foundational self care practices. And I also mute. I set boundaries about what information and opinions I allow myself to consume and sometimes that means I mute stories and posts for a little while. This allows me time to create from my own values and thoughts, rather than consume content, information, ideas and opinions. It gives me mental space to make sure I’m not taking on board other people’s ideas, thoughts, opinions and placing more value on them at the expense of listening to my own intuition. It allows me to discern what I truly believe, and enter my online (and in person) spaces with integrity for Self. Something I place high value in. Instead of falling into the trap of mindlessly consuming other people’s content, setting boundaries with this brings me back to my centre, my purpose, and my own ideas and values. After this, I always come back with a clear mind and fresh view. I am able to discern between what is in alignment and what isn’t. I can then work from a place where I am not following or coming from a place of should be Something to think about if you are feeling the same way at the moment
16.01.2022 Outdoor, messy, open ended play is so important for children’s development and wellbeing. Getting outdoors and venturing outside to embrace fresh air and some sun (despite it being freezing here in the morning) has been really important for us and our families overall wellbeing too! This is especially important for us during lockdown 2.0, where we are still focusing on what we CAN control in our house rather than what we can’t. For us, that is our basic, foundational ne...eds and self care We can’t always have control over these outside forces but for us as a family, we can focus on these foundations: Time outdoors. Fresh air. Water. Movement. Rest. Food. Connection & joy. This doesn’t necessarily make what is happening easy but it does bring me comfort to know that there are things we can be doing to support our wellbeing as individuals and together. What is helping you or your family during this time?

07.01.2022 How do you honour your cycle? For me honouring my cycles is about honouring myself. And I say cycles because there are many within and around us that we can use as tools. Taking note of the ebs and flows.... Noticing of patterns. Receiving clarification, questions and insights. And actually supporting myself by acting on those insights and patterns. In honouring the beginning of my cycle this week I’m taking a little break from Social Media. Of course my email and phone is always open for support and for the people I work with The energy feels heavy at the moment and I will always remind you (and myself) to come back to your foundations and basics by looking at aspects of your emotional, mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing you can influence. Your basic, foundational self care. Image: Death & Rebirth. Entering the void

06.01.2022 I have a little Birth Photography update I have spoken a lot about how important Birth Photography was for me personally to reflect, remember, reconnect & reclaim my story in each of my births. Having the entire journey documented in my second birth was an integral part of my birth & postpartum support. It is something that I still use to reconnect & reflect on today, over 18 months later. And I know that I am not alone in this sentiment. This is why documenting our birt...hs is so important. It is a tangible piece of our memories & a lasting legacy not only for us but for generations to come. If you are feeling called to have your memories & birth story tangibly preserved, I am still here to support you in various ways, including documenting your birthing journey. If you are in Stage 4 Lockdown in Melbourne or outside of Victoria, I am unfortunately unable to be physically present with you to document this. I am sending all my love & strength to you during this time. It can feel unimaginably hard & disappointing, amongst many other feelings. I see you, please reach out if you need anything There are a few things I have created that can help support you in documenting your own birth story if you would still like your journey documented through imagery. This includes my DIY Birth Photography Offering (which comes with an Ebook that covers everything from mindset to how to take photos on a mobile phone). If you are in Stage 3 Lockdown in Melbourne (as I am) I am able to support you in documenting your birthing journey at home. This includes documentary style labouring & welcome home/fresh 48 & postpartum sessions, as well as editing photos taken at hospital to include in your entire birth story. If you are birthing at home, I am able to document your entire journey. In any case, if Birth Photography is something you would really like to have to support you & the preservation of your memories, reach out There are a few creative ways I have been working with people in the birth space despite our current climate so please reach out if Birth Photography is something you were hoping could be part of your support team.

04.01.2022 Children’s imagination. Flute, wand or just a butter knife? (I said Harry Potter wand but no one in my house seems to appreciate my love of it)
03.01.2022 I have honestly been struggling with words, so my life is in picture form lately
