24.01.2022 Congratulations and welcome to our newest member - Grace Kong We warmly welcome our newest member of Melbourne Chorus. Grace visited us a few times before we went online and is joining the fabulous Lead section, having the very ... special honour of being our first new member for 2020 sung in virtually via zoom. We are all very excited to have Grace joining us. We look forward to welcoming more new members when we return to face to face rehearsals likely early in 2021.

24.01.2022 Last night marked the end of a week with the incomparable Nikki Blackmer. We've had an amazing time and look forward to working together again soon!

23.01.2022 It is with great sadness that the World said goodbye yesterday to our current and 10+ year member of the Melbourne Chorus, Maree Phillips. Maree has given members amazing memories of great times, not only on the risers, performances and competitions in Australia and America but also has provided dog obedience tips, gardening advice or plant cuttings, fun on the tennis court and hosted sensational charity events in her beautiful gardens. Maree will be greatly missed and fondly remembered!

23.01.2022 What a special but sad night as we farewelled the supremely talented Master Director, Traci Voss, who emparted her wisdom and talents on us for over 7 years. We will miss you dearly and wish you all the best! Traci, as with our past MC Directors Marian Reinsch (13 years) and Jeanette Whitmore (10 years) we hold very dear to the hearts of all connected with Melbourne Chorus. You have all shaped us into the chorus we are today. We appreciate all you have done for us.

22.01.2022 Melbourne Chorus had a great social zoom catch up last night together and then in smaller breakout rooms to avoid the dreaded talking over one another, as we all seemed to have lots to say. Then one of our members, the amazing Dr Alison Brown, enthralled us by sharing some stories and experiences about her work at the Wantirna Vet Clinic and volunteering at various wildlife rescue organisations helping koalas, kangaroos and so much more. We finished with a tribute to the amazing Helen Reddy with a sing a long to I AM WOMAN Sweet Adelines style.

16.01.2022 What a great night we had joining Vocal Vibes for virtual rehearsal last night, our Sweet Adeline sisters. Learning a new tag is always fun but breaking off into 7 teams and devising and presenting 1 minute choreographed routines really showed the creative talents that arose when we our great minds were put together. Well done everyone and thanks for a great night Henrietta and Vocal Vibes.

14.01.2022 Melbourne Chorus at their virtual rehearsal were joined by the supremely qualified Steve Scott BHS's Music Education Curriculum and Online Learning Manager (https://www.barbershop.org//bhs-judg/directory/steve-scott). We even got to hear his amazing "de gunking" exercises work their magic on him at such an early hour...5am his time! Thanks for getting up so early for us. We look forward to having him back again.

12.01.2022 What a big night! Congratulations to Team Coordinator Claire, voted Sweet Adeline of the year, for her tireless efforts in helping guide us through the difficult 2020 and beyond. It was also a sad night as we farewelled Mereta who has been an invaluable asset to Melboune (especially this year!). We wish you all the best settling back in home in England, you will be very missed by all of us.... We were also entertained by a wonderful quartet and even a Septet!

What a treasured experience for us all!
