In recognition of International Women's Day & all those wonderful women in our lives Melbourne Endoscopy Group would like to remind you that not only do you owe it to yourselves but also to your family & those near & dear to you to be aware that Bowel Cancer is prevalent amongst all ages, family history or not, worldwide. Colonoscopy ...is the most reliable & accurate way of identifying pre-cancerous growths known as polyps. Remember ladies polyps don't usually bleed & Bowel Cancer often has no symptoms. Almost 2,500 Australian women lose their lives to Bowel Cancer every year and 45% of all those diagnosed with Bowel Cancer are women.
