07.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Hi all, We would like to give our valued clients an update on how MEVG is responding to the current COVID-19 situation.... We have adopted guidelines in accordance with the latest information from the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) and we have a responsibility to you our clients and to our staff to reduce the risk of spread. We are currently still able to undertake surgery at our Caulfield facility but would ask that clients minimize the number of people involved in dropping off or picking up horses or if picking up medication when attending our Caulfield clinic. Please ensure that you wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly for at least 20 seconds inside the examination room, inside the office, at the kitchenette, or in the tack room in the stable area. Please also call ahead (on 9572 0666) to ensure we are aware of your upcoming attendance, if possible we will leave medications outside the front door for collection. Much of our work is ambulatory and often outdoors so we are unlikely to meet in large groups of people, but nonetheless we would like to reduce the number of people in attendance at consultations to a bare minimum. We will be avoiding any direct physical contact and practicing social distancing as much as possible, as long as it is safe for you and your horse. We are using good hand hygiene with alcohol based washes or washing hands with soap and water before and after consultation. We do kindly ask that any client who is a known COVID-19 case or experiencing flu like symptoms to let us know at the time of booking your appointment. We can then apply the necessary requirements to ensure that your horse can still be treated. We would like to assure all our clients that it is business as usual at MEVG as we continue to provide a thoroughbred equine veterinary service for you and your horses. We are aware that this is a rapidly evolving situation and will provide updates if there are further changes.
