06.01.2022 The Eden Magnet has published a leading example of how the Business Recovery Advisory Service is supporting business owners that have been impacted by the 2019-2020 bushfires. "Mallacoota residents Carol Nelson and husband Paul tragically lost both their home and business in the bushfires last summer. It's been an incredibly difficult year, but ongoing assistance has allowed the family to reach a more hopeful position almost 12 months on.... The couple were previously operating a food van, in both East Gippsland and on the Far South Coast, offering traditional Greek cuisine to market and festival-goers, but sadly their van was decimated when the fire tore through Mallacoota. After receiving a $50,000 Small Business Bushfire Recovery grant, Ms Nelson said they are now in the process of replacing their trailer with a new custom-built one. "We're blown away, we'll have exactly the trailer we wanted, it's basically a commercial kitchen on wheels" she said." Read more: https://www.edenmagnet.com.au//mallacoota-small-business/

05.01.2022 It’s clear that businesses have quickly adopted digital technology due to COVID-19, to help them better navigate disruptions. It's important to understand the processes and systems that allow businesses to thrive in rapidly changing environments. What is Digitisation? Digitisation is the process of converting information from a physical format into a digital one. An example of digitisation could be scanning old printed documents and saving them to a hard drive to ...store that you can access later. What is Digitalisation? An example of Digitalisation would be taking the scans of old printed documents and uploading them to a cloud drive, like Dropbox so you can always access them anywhere, anytime. To be agile in business and to be proactive to change, it requires a good understanding of how to digitalise key aspects of your business. Through our programs, such as ASBAS Digital Solutions, we're helping businesses make digitalisation an essential part of their strategy and to help them learn, grow and thrive with new technology.
