17.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that I make this post but over the weekend the Melbourne Oztag community, as well as the wider Melbourne sporting community, lost a highly valued & respected member. Jordan Swift was involved with Melbourne City Oztag & North Melbourne OzTag for a number of seasons & was known as a dependable & reliable teammate to those within the Better Than Lego squad & his endearing nature also made him well liked by opponents, both on & off the field. 06.01.2022 Attention Melbourne City Oztaggers! After months of being in lockdown & facing uncertainty due to the COVID pandemic; I can say that as of today, we have been... given the green light to start our Summer season of Oztag in the coming weeks. Whilst there are still a few details that need to be finalised, I am hoping that players will be able to get back out onto the fields for a few games, in a social format, leading into Christmas. The season proper will kickoff in the first few weeks of 2021. I have no doubt that many of you will be champing at the bit to be involved in some competitive sport after a lengthy stint on the sidelines but there will be a few protocols that we will all need to abide by in order to remain safe. Australian Oztag’s Return To Play guidelines have been accepted by the council & further directives will be provided to delegates/players in the coming weeks.
