23.01.2022 Isn't this romantic? I take out a few beginners every Friday night and trick them into thinking J sailing is peaceful. Then it's off to the club for dinner and then back to the moored/berthed J for more partying at about 10pm. The waiting list is huge. 14.01.2022 Congratulations to the team from yacht Sennur defeating Waypoint 4:2 in the Melbourne Sailing 2015 Lycian Match Racing championship. Sennur sailed brilliantly in the lighter breeze but were outmatched by Waypoint when wind kicked in. Well done to all crew

07.01.2022 King Island will be holding a festival on the weekend from 31Jan to 2Feb and we thought that this would be a great excuse for some of your members to sail across to the island. https://www.facebook.com/FestivalOfKingIsland?fref=ts There will be a ton of music as well as horse racing and festival events (market, food, raft races, giant water slide, ...) If you could share this with your members it would be great to see a small flotilla come over for that weekend. It's only a s...mall festival, but we have some great musicians (Kim Churchill, Benjalu and Ashleigh Mannix + 9 other acts) and lots of friendly locals that will be very pleased to welcome you there. Safe all-weather anchorage is available at Grassy, or you can sail directly into Currie Harbour where the festival will be held. We will also be pleased to organise transport and on-shore accommodation if required. See more

The aim is to leave as a fleet at 3.30 or so ...the trip to RMYS could take an hour, it could take 25mins (kite up)...depending on the wind direction. We arrive at RMYS and tie up in their new marina...then head straight to the bar there. Then...we drink the place dry and head into St Kilda for our evening meal. At the moment a restaurant called Rococo is being thought of as a good spot...it is huge...and Italian...and good. Back to boats with BYO grog..and party all night long.
