23.01.2022 Melbourne Winter Baseball League are currently working with Baseball Victoria, and reviewing the escalating issues with the spread of COVID-19 in the community. We are committed to getting teams back on the field, but we are also above all else committed to the safety of the community and our members. At this time, we don't want to act hastily, but informed and cautiously. We know it takes a lot to put a season together, and continue this work.... However, we are monitoring the changes, as we look to determine the future of the season, both in its current form, or any other forms it may take. Whilst we don't have a solid answer right at the moment, that is purely so we don't continually change fact, until we can make a final, informed decision. Please read the information from BV and think about the implications for players and clubs. Keep in contact with your club. Most of all, please stay safe. Slade Squire.

21.01.2022 Some changes that came through last night. Training numbers have returned to Groups of 20, plus coaches (max 2). The DHHS website has now re-added the Return to Full-contact training and competition dates on their website.... This gives us hope to see senior competition start as planned. We are still waiting and watching the updated advice as it comes from Government.

17.01.2022 Our 1st ‘Come and Try' day for junior players hits off tomorrow at Loyola Reserve, Bundoora. Sunday 14 March from 10.00am to 12.30pm All kids are welcome, it... will be a fun day of activities followed by a free sausage sizzle. We have been hard at work wit...h only a short break between seasons first game 24th April. Training will start for all teams as listed all players will need to register to train link is on team app or the website Under 11 and 13-year-olds: Wednesday, April 7th, 530pm - 7 pm Under 15 year-olds: Tuesday, April 6th, 530pm - 7 pm Under 17 year-olds: Thursday, April 8th, 530pm - 7 pm We will be looking at having all stand alone teams this winter so we are on the look out for coaches please contact us if you would like to help out. 03.01.2022 Following Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews’ announcement on changes to COVID-19 restrictions earlier today, Baseball Victoria is working to return to baseball a...ctivity and to ensure we are able to provide a safe environment for the baseball community. We are meeting with Winter Associations, Winter and Summer Clubs tomorrow (Tuesday, 12 May) and expect to have updated information from the state government to clarify important items, before updating all the members on how you can return to baseball activity as soon as possible.
