23.01.2022 I've taken an unintentional break from social media while I wade through some pretty merky water. It has been hard, there have been tears, tantrums and endless books involved. To be honest, I have been questioning just what on earth I am doing and if I should keep treading the path I am on. Over the last few days I have refocused, felt lighter, more determined and happier than I have in nearly 2 months. I feel my soul fire reigniting.... I love my oils, the way they have integrated into our lives and how my kids reach for them in different aspects of their day but most of all, I love sharing them, helping people move back to a more natural, holistic way of life. 20.01.2022 Essential oils can be used in every area of our lives! I often post how I use it to keep our emotions in check or how I use it to lessen severity of illness but what got me loving the oils was using it to support my body before, during and after exercise. I have gone to exercising 5-6 days a week to maybe once. I walk to and from school daily but that isn't enough for me. Not only do I use to keep my body fit but it is for my mental health just as much and to be honest I am r...eally struggling mentally. I kicked my own butt on Saturday after ditching #parkrun and set up a weighted circut. While it wasn't intense or heavy, it did what I needed it to do, I've followed that up with a boxing session (the first one I've done in over a year!!). With starting sessions again, I am lacking any drive to actually get out and get back into it. Motivate has been a life saver, that kick in the pants I've needed especially when it comes to being around new people and knowing that I am not fit! Being hit hard with DOMS and knowing that I am waking up dormant muscles and using them again is the best feeling but my legs have been super sore that walking hurts (did I mention I live in a two story house ). I've been religiously applying Ice Blue, to keep the muscles warm and the blood flowing to the area, it has helped but I am my husband's source of amusement with the faces I pull. Here's hoping that I can get into a decent routine of looking after me because I feel like I'm just treading water at the moment. 16.01.2022 I love discovering new (to me) Authors, even better if their books can hook me and leave me wanting more. I was excited to find that my Kobo gives book stats at the end of the book as well as a total summery. My singular book read time is anywhere from 1-6 hrs depending on the size of the book, the summery below minus maybe 4 books is my total read for the past 2 months. I've been reading every chance I get lately to loose myself in the fantasy world created within the cov...ers and I have been really drawn into the world created by Autumn Jones Lake in the Lost Kings MC series and I'll admit there have been a couple of super late nights where I couldn't put the book down. A few months ago I bought a bookshelf for a little more storage and it looks nicer than the shelves I previously had (and I love timber furniture). I also brought a new wall hanging to put on the wall. After I was done this blend kind of jumped into my hands Bergamot- The oil of self-acceptance ... Cedarwood - The oil of community Ginger - The oil of empowerment I always find it amazing that my intuitive picks hit right where it is needed and most of the time, it's oils that I generally don't gravitate towards.

14.01.2022 I have been loving these two rollers sick lately. My other job has been really busy, the weather has been humid and not eveyone left their house with a smile. Adaptiv has been my go to for keeping myself calm and grounded and is such a perfect blend to have on me all the time.... I have items that have a special place in my heart :- The small plate was something I gifted to my Mum many years ago and Dad let me bring it home with me after she passed. It holds my Wedding rings on them.... The Willow Tree figure was gifted to my from one of my oldest and best friends when I was really struggling with the passing of my Mum. Teal ribbon representing Ovarian Cancer, we all wore one to Mum's celebration of life. Strawberry Quartz and Red Jasper were gifted at Christmas from my brother and sister. 13.01.2022 Some days you need to let the oils speak for themselves, even if it is an oil that you have never favoured. Today was one of those days.... Geranium is the one oil in my collection that I really do not like and today was the day I couldn't move past it. I had it in 2 diffusers downstairs and I didn't feel ill. Reading through the emotions book negative words like distrust, disheartened, heavy hearted and grieving kept jumping out BUT on the other side of the spectrum positiv...e words like healing, unconditional love, emotional healing and forgiving jumped out just as much. I guess in a way this is perfect because I am all types of emotions at the moment and really struggling to find my flow, my people, my place and it's all very messy. Not saying Geranium and I are now BFFs but I can appreciate what this little bottle of magic is telling me (and with Spearmint it isn't a half bad blend). 12.01.2022 When Chaos is the game we all learn how to handle it. Pretty chilled day at home with Bho today, funky happy music playing, happy oils (wild orange and balance diffusing). Watching him switch seemlessly through the many hats he is choosing to wear today and I can't help wonder if the husband and I have taught him this. Today, he has fed and rocked his baby, designed some mega truck with a super long trailer for the bob cats and diggers after seeing a few construction vehicles... while I was boxing , protected the kitty while he was fighting the fire and now he is reading a story to me (well, the Thesaurus). 07.01.2022 They say the eyes are the windows to your soul. So much emotion can be seen through them. I thought I was covering up the hurt that was inside, that if I smiled and kept on with the 'norm' no one would know just how much I was dying on the inside. It wasn't until yesterday when I caught up with a friend after the crazy Christmas period actually said that I looked so much lighter, I had my spark back instead of the bleakness (my word not hers) that had taken over.... I do feel different, I feel lighter, I've allowed myself to process through the grief my way, slowly and painfully. It still hurts but it's not overtaking anymore. I still have triggers (a song, a scent) and cry at the drop of a hat but my good is taking up more of the day than the bad. Am I back? Kind of, I'm still healing and am taking the path at my pace. I am embracing the things that I have pushed away for the past 4 months because the memories were too much. The side that she loved and encouraged because it was uniquely me. I am doing this with my newest Guardian looking over my shoulder, urging me to take that next step, encouraging me to try that new thing like she would have before. It's what my Mumma would have wanted.

06.01.2022 I just had a conversation with my sister about what the difference between an airpurifier, vaporisers, humidifiers and diffusers were. I thought I would share my reply with you for future reference. Air Purifier - the best option for allergies. Air purifiers remove dust, pollen, pet dander, mould spores, and more from the air so they don't end up in your eyes, throat, or lungs. Humidifier - used for keeping a room's atmosphere moist. It uses ultra fine cool mist. Most humi...difiers are not built for using essential oils, and over time use of essential oils can damage plastic components. Vaporiser - internally heats the water before releasing it as steam, creating a warm mist. Inhalants can also be added to a vaporiser. Diffusers - similar to a humidifier using a cool mist (as opposed to hot), it still makes a room a humid but they are made specifically to be used with essential oils. Whether for scent or therapeutic benefits. I have used vaporisers, humidifiers and diffusers over the years and hands down I prefer diffusers. This is due to the water isn't heated in any way, therefore safer around little people. I can also add my oils to them to enhance the mood I am aiming for - Z and Bho love their nightly diffuser blend with their earthy, calming blends and during the day I love my uplifting but calming blends. 06.01.2022 Spent the morning by the water soaking up the sun and catching up with friends. It was so good feeling the warmth on my skin, watching people enjoying their Sunday morning at their own pace. When we got home I was pulled back outside to bask in the sun. 02.01.2022 Shoulda packed this in my bag today. Almost did but decided to be a rebel. Rookie mistake! Today was a day of absolute indulgence with my daughter at Fromage A Trois at Werribee Mansion, some thing we have been looking forward to for weeks!! My tummy didn't handle the overload of rich foods (even though my tastebuds did) and was quite sore.... When we got home I made a beeline to the oil box and got my DigestZen and FCO out to rub on my tummy, minutes later I was watching footy (and folding laundry), feeling so much better.
