24.01.2022 Warning - long post ahead with mushy love stuff Well you two are the definition of happily ever after. When Prince Charming meets beautiful Indian princess, oh do sparks fly. You cried, I cried, we all cried. Your special day was colourful, memorable and fun. The love was felt amongst your 170 guests. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house and everyone had a beaming smile on their face.... #couplegoals rings 100% true with you two and I honestly had the time of my life being involved. 18.01.2022 Charlotte and Ben, Now I was a last minute ring in for a Monday wedding and boy was I glad that I was. Not only did I have the pleasure of officiating this gorgeous couples special day. I also worked with the dream team of suppliers. Beautiful location ... 18.01.2022 Jessie and Bill, What an incredible day. I think this picture says it all, a day filled with love and laughter. You know the ceremony is going to be fun when the couples friends dress up as the groom and bride.... Jessie and Bill has their children Harry and Violet, involved in their ceremony which made it that extra special. I also was lucky enough to stay on and enjoy the ultimate party vibe reception and drink amazing champagne and be one of the last ones dancing on the D Floor. 17.01.2022 Oh hey there Thanks for visiting. Some of you may be wondering what exactly does a celebrant do and I’m here to tell you, we are here to get the PARTY STARTEDDDDD...... but in all seriousness here is a list * Housekeeping * Hand holding / passing the tissues... * Calming your nerves * Befriending the parentals ( very important) * Instructing that the rose petals must be thrown for the perfect photo and not at faces but up high. No one is getting a rose petal in the eye on my watch * Brushing hair out of face, if need be ( not in a creepy way) * Fluffing the dress and veil * Making sure guests are standing 50/50 to each other, so that the photos look Instagram worthy * Making sure you both are standing in the ideal spot for the photographer, to ensure you get all those glorious shots * PHONES ARE PUT AWAY, I REPEAT PHONES ON SILENT * That means you grandparents with the big ol IPAD, bless ya but leave it in the car * Ensure everyone has filled the seats and no seat is left behind to stick out like a sore thumb * To bring the vibe and chat to you throughout the ceremony to make you both feel as cool, calm and collected as one can feel standing in front of their family friends There is more I could totally add to this list, however why not see me in celebrant action and see what I do for yourself. 16.01.2022 My pal sal got hitched ( see what I did there, loves a rhyme) It was grand, as the Irish like to say. The colours of the day were so vibrant, just like their personalities.... Michael and Sally are a real hoot and their intimate ceremony was full of laughs. I’ve know Sal from back in the good old days, when I would pop into her clothes shop and we would debrief about our lives. It was so beautiful seeing her so happy. Michael is so genuine and fun and I couldn’t ask for someone more perfect for the lovely Sal. Your family are ridiculously fun. I hope to have a drink with you all soon. 14.01.2022 Nick and Rachel, Or as I fondly like to refer to you as Nicky once again sorry about that. I felt for you both when the bushfires happened and the fear of having your ceremony location being destroyed. However nothing to fear as Golding winery did an amazing job in saving their beautiful grounds and your ceremony was stunning.... I honestly loved spending time with you both. You immediately felt like friends ( Instant friendship, my favourite thing in this world ) Nick, your Mum was so much fun to hang with! 13.01.2022 What a magical day You know it’s a good wedding when the bride participates in a TikTok with you and the lovely @dicolaaa Brett & Catherine thank you so much for having me as Melebrant and as a guest.... From your Daddy daughter dance to your first dance as husband and wife, it was so beautiful. We even sang along to your first dance when the power went out for a brief moment, making it like a scene out of a movie. All the attention to detail was incredible from the photo booth to the doggy take home treats. Also I must mention the sweets and the delicious cake. Another highlight is Brett doing a fireball shot which I captured on video, good on ya mate! Much love to you both! 13.01.2022 Rhi & Josh, This is why I love living in Adelaide because there is six degrees of separation of pretty much everyone that lives here I was so fortunate to be a part of your day and there was many giggles leading up to it. One in particular was my housemate at the time telling me he was going to a wedding on the weekend and us only figuring out two days before your wedding that we were both attending and I was actually your celebrant.... classic Adelaide and yes we did carp...ool there Now let’s talk about your day because it was so special to have your daughter be a part of the ceremony. Sadie was an absolute superstar and is such a ray or sunshine. The location was magical and your D floor was epic. Also Josh’s suit was on and Rhi you were an absolute stunner of a bride Thank you again you absolute gems of humans for choosing me to play such an important role on a momentous day. It was so awesome getting to know you both and thank you for trusting me to share your love story.
12.01.2022 Children in ceremonies, I’m all about it. I had the absolute honour of officiating my friend Sarah and Sion’s special day. It was also an opportunity to spend time with my friend Nicola and be Aunty Melly to her daughter Rosie. Sarah’s gorgeous son Elijah wrote the most beautiful speech and there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd. He spoke with such love and respect for his Mum and Sion. I felt so lucky to witness such a sweet moment and to help Elijah on the day.... Special mention to Henny for throwing the flower petals and having a hell of a time. Little Henny was just dancing around whilst Mummy and Daddy got married. These photos are just so special capturing the children throughout the ceremony. Such beautiful memories to cherish forever. 09.01.2022 I’ve known Amanda since I was five years of age and my earliest memory of her is in a tutu holding my hand and making me laugh. Much hasn’t changed since then, well beside the tutu wearing part. I was absolutely honoured to be your bridesmaid and Melebrant on your special day marrying your best friend Ben. Not many people are lucky to have a friendship with someone which spans over two decades, so I suppose I consider this one of our greatest achievements ( haha I hope you f...eel the same @aselly ) It’s a real surreal moment watching someone you’ve known your whole life experience one of the biggest days of their lives. I have known Paul since high school days ( we don’t need to mention how long ago that was) which made it extra special seeing him marry the man of his dreams and witness how he has grown into the exceptional man he is today.... It was such an amazing day even more a success that no one passed out from the heatwave, we were experiencing in Adelaide that week. I loved that your family and friends were surprised for your wedding ceremony, the classic engagement party turn wedding celebration.... MY FAVOURITE.... It was honestly the best fun getting to know you both. I ugly cried during your first dance, your kids speech and pretty much the whole celebration really haha it was just so damn lovely. 02.01.2022 Ryan and Emilie, They say opposites attract and this rings true with this couple. Emilie loves Irish dancing and Ryan loves cricket, however they both appreciate each other hobbies because of their love for one another and that my folks is true love right there. Two highlights of your special day........ Your fur babies Diesel and Bella who dressed up for the occasion, they literally dressed up guys with bows and all. The other highlight was Emilie’s dance class attending the ceremony and putting on an Irish dance performance for the couple. The kids got carried away in the moment and threw rose petals at the beginning of the ceremony but that just added extra laughs, which is what you want your special day to be all about. Your family were all so loving, supportive and helpful. You could feel the love in the air, it was electric. Shout out to @pet_weddings_assistants for bringing the stars of the show and dressing them up, they were so well behaved and everyone fell in love with them both. @monthsinmylife and @projectedtwin thanks for providing the laughs and helping this gal out on the day, much appreciated.
