22.01.2022 As we send off a crazy year and welcome a new one- it is important to celebrate your wins and acknowledge things you did great and set new goals -bigger and better. 2020 was a year of many 1sts Never have any of us ... -Started a year under orange smoke filled skies -watching our country and people’s homes be destroyed -Fear that we would run out of water -Be rescued by sky opening and breaking the drought and putting out the flames Nor did we ever think that we -Would get locked in our own homes and see shelves empty with fights over toilet paper -All graduate as School Teachers -Deplete every old fashioned board game from the shop shelves -Be told how many people were allowed in your home -And be scared by an invisible enemy that took over the world BUT WE ARE STRONGER AND MORE RESILIENT than we ever gave ourselves credit for and under the things that weren’t normal, greatness also happened I am proud of lots of things this year Also lots of positive 1sts -I celebrated my 21st Wedding anniversary -I built businesses with my kids -I studied and implemented more than I have for a long time -I rescued my business -I redesigned my business and have built a whole new brand -I have an amazing team -I met some of my idols -I hired the best coaches -I hired a team of people to make me better, bigger and stronger in the new year -I won awards and was FINALST for three -I have helped hundreds of clients lose over 2500kg + 4500cm -Given away $100,000 in FREE HOLIDAYS - Donated 2 trolley loads of toys for the Kmart Wishing Tree - Donated food for Christmas for the Salvation Army to distribute - Assisted Dilly Drought Drive to keep our farmers alive. I managed to purchase 3 new machines helping fat loss, weight loss, injury recovery, and exhaustion and blissful relaxation. And now I am moving forward with a NEW BRAND- FIGURE BY DESIGN. 2020 may not have been what we all expected, but it is what it is. You can dwell on it or chose to look forward, and that's I am doing. So if you want to join my positive mindset and results- then keep your hat on as you are in for the ride of your life! If you learned nothing else from 2020, it should be that your HEALTH and your business are your main priority. 13.01.2022 IMPROVING YOUR WEIGHT, METABOLISM, HEALTH, AND VITALITY CAN CHANGE WITH 3 SMALL CHANGES PER DAY. Today it's about the "liquids".. 1. It's time to Reduce the Caffeine-... I know most of you will reach for a coffee to start your day. Did you know that it will stimulate your brain BUT slow your metabolism? Too much caffeine can cause insomnia, irritability and, is used as a fuel supply rather than reaching for whole foods. This robs your body of a chance to fuel itself properly, which won't fix the underlying fatigue. It has also added unwanted calories that carry no nutrition. It is also one of the most "dependant" drugs in the world. The good news is that you can ween off it relatively quickly and if done slowly your withdrawal will not be noticed. For caffeine lovers, I'd suggest about one glass per day. Herbal or Green teas are a better, more gentle alternative(also much fewer calories). 2. RAPIDLY REDUCE TOXIC EMPTY CALORIES. The ever-feared slowing of the metabolism is actually somewhat of reality after turning Fabulous 40. NOW is your time to focus on cutting out empty calories, because they add up quickly and don't leave you feeling full. Avoid wasting your nutrient needs on empty-calorie items such as soft drinks, energy drinks, and alcohol. They excite your insulin levels causing long term strain, they are full of "stuff" which generally isn't easily digested so will always store as fat. They also consume your 'needed' calorie intake and offer you no nutrition or vitamins. Because of the toxins in them, they will also make you look older, quicker and the hunt for the energy you were seeking from them is a short-lived tease. 3. DRINK MORE WATER. Its time to hit the water- yep the clear stuff that's FREE. I know you've heard this before, but the experts are right. Water helps hydrate you, helps your memory, improves your skin, your sleep, your digestion, your mood, controls your hunger, and balances sugar spikes. It cushions the brains and your joints, balances your temperature, and is the one thing your body CAN'T do without. Whether you like it or not, I strongly advise you to aim at drinking at least 8 glasses of the clean, clear, and FREE stuff every day. You will be impressed with the difference it makes. You can change many aspects of your life just by what you eat and what you put in your body. Food is the medicine or poison of life- and once you become educated about it- you get to choose.... Eating and enjoying food is what you are meant to do. FOOD IS YOUR FUEL. To lose weight or feel well doesn't mean you have to live a life of deprivation or starvation, it just means you need to b become friends with the right foods for you. Food can energize you, change how your skin looks, relieve pain, aid concentration, help you sleep better, and design the body you want. 3 small steps you can do today. 1. Increase your protein intake- Protein helps keep you full longer, repair your muscles, create lean muscle mass, prevent osteoporosis. It also helps reduce cravings and lowers your blood pressure and EXCITES your metabolism. INDUSTRY SECRET- Start the day with protein to stimulate your metabolism and trigger fat burning for the day. 2. Reduce your sugar intake- Sugar is probably today's worst addiction and reducing it does scare some people. Doing it the right way will eliminate severe withdrawal effects and the good news is that after breaking the habit it only takes 3-5 days not to miss it. Reducing sugar helps you lose weight, reduce inflammation, lower bad cholesterol, increases your energy and memory levels, lowers blood pressure and longterm will help eliminate diabetes. Get your required sugar from natural fruit sources. Stay away from packet food, processed carbohydrates, sugar/energy/alcoholic drinks. 3. Eat regularly- I believe giving your body proper nutrition throughout the day will longterm give you better weight loss, health benefits, digestive benefits, and a happier day. No one likes to feel HANGRY. My suggestion is 3 meals including protein and 2 snacks. This allows the body to trust you. It comprehends the calories in for calories out and takes you away from yoyo dieting. Being happy and healthy is your responsibility BUT your minor tweaks each day will make for long-lasting results. I love Sundays to this, and today has been all about me. After a super busy week, today was my day to have a sleep in, colour my hair, wax my legs, do some personal development and get some NETFLIX in. It's not often I do this, but I know how to listen to my body. I know that today I was feeling tired, a bit flat and generally needed time out to recharge me mentally and physically for another big week. I have now set my goals for the week Food Prepped And been kind to myself So come tomorrow morning I will be ready to conquer it all, fully charged.
