25.01.2022 The Ovulatory Phase is of communication and action. Ovulation refers to the 24 hours after an egg is released from its follicle and makes its way down the fallopian tube.... The ovulation phase is typically referred to as the 2-3 days before you ovulate and 24 hours after it occurs. This phase is considered as your bodys Hormones are high as oestrogen and testosterone peak before the soar of progesterone. You are at your most fertile in this phase with heightened energy, mood and libido! Since your energy levels are so high during this time, you should continue to enjoy lots of physical activity and high impact workouts, you may also find you feel stronger and more resilient than any other time in your cycle Particularly in the first part of this phase testosterone gives us a boost. You are likely to feel more motivated. Research shows we build more muscle during this phase especially before testosterone and estrogen decline. This time of the cycle is also where you want to connect with your loved ones for some time together, pick up the phone to chat or support them in some way Many women consider this their favourite phase, thanks to the increase in hormones working in harmony both physically and mentally. You may feel more sexy, confident, outgoing and social Ovulation is a powerful time it needs nutrition to maximize its potential. 21.01.2022 The Follicular Phase follows the Menstrual phase. This is the phase for creation and exploration. It begins on the first day of the menstrual cycle and can last until ovulation, approximately 7-10 days.... Your follicular phase is your bodys , where you begin to feel fresh and renewed as your energy begins to rebuild itself Your estrogen and testosterone levels remain low in the beginning of the Follicular Phase, but gradually increases as ovulation draws near. Both estrogen and testosterone start to boost your energy, mood and brain skills. You start to feel more confident, powerful and are willing to take more risks. Testosterone starts to stimulate your libido. Estrogen makes your skin look and feel better. It also makes you feel more extroverted and pushes you to be more social and to connect with other people. This is a time when you feel an increased energy, focus and creativity. You may want to schedule more projects, meetings, or social events around this time. 17.01.2022 The fourth and final phase, is the Luteal Phase. This phase lasts from ovulation until the day before your next period begins, generally 12-16 days. ... The Luteal Phase is your bodys Youre beginning to slow down, preferring to spend less time with others, and beginning to turn inwards. You can start to crave comfort, nesting, tidying and organising. If the egg cell is not fertilised, the body prepares to shed the uterus lining to begin the menstrual phase. Estrogen, progesterone and testosterone rise to their highest levels during this phase, then dropping right off before your period begins PMS is common during the second half of this phase if an imbalance is present. Practice some nurturing self-care during the week before your period. This could mean eating really nourishing healthy comforting and grounding foods, taking a yoga class, getting to bed early one night, sleeping in later one morning, reading a favourite book, getting a massage, and anything else that makes you feel nourished and balanced When you honour your bodys innate need for rest and relaxation during this phase, you will enhance your ability to get more out of the active phases of your cycle Start taking it easy with exercise as your energy, strength, sleep quality, recovery, motivation all decreases in this phase. Nutritionally, theres a lot going on this final phase! Your nutrition will directly impact hormonal shifts occurring and affect how you feel during the next phase your period. : Manage inflammation many PMS/period symptoms are due to inflammation. 17.01.2022 These are my EASY HEALTHY ANZAC BISCUITS ... 1 cup almond meal 1 cup of desiccated/shredded coconut 1 cup walnuts chopped finely 1 Tbsp collagen powder 14 cup coconut oil 14 cup honey 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. water 1. Preheat oven to 120 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper. 2. In a large mixing bowl place the almond meal, coconut, collagen powder and walnuts and mix together. 3. In a small sauce pan melt the coconut oil and honey together. 4. Take the saucepan off the heat and add the baking powder and water, stir together until it foams and turns a white-ish colour. 5. Transfer this into the dry ingredients and mix well until combined. 6. Take a tablespoon full of mixture, roll into balls, place on the baking tray and flatten. 7. Place the tray into the oven and bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown. 8. 06.01.2022 The Menstrual Phase is for rest and renewal, lasting approximately 3-7 days. of your cycle is the first day of bleeding, where your progesterone level plunges which causes the break down and shedding of your uterine lining. As menstruation gets under way, the key sex hormones, estrogen and progesterone decline and are no longer present in large quantities. You may feel a sense of release and relief when menstruation commences.... Think of this phase as your bodys During this week, your energy is at the lowest it will be during your cycle causing you to possibly feel introverted and introspective. This leads to a desire to rest and take a break from daily duties or even take a day off. This is a perfect time to turn inwards, take time for yourself, take naps, rest and restore so that you can be your vibrant self during the other three phases. Exercise should be limited to gentle movement and stretching like yoga, Pilates and walking. Hormones are low, which means energy is too. In fact, slightly less oxygen is delivered to your muscles, making physical fatigue even more heightened during workouts. 04.01.2022 Thank you to all the beautiful ladies that came today to my Reduce Stress and Sleep Deeply workshop We had a lovely morning talking about all the different ways we can support ourselves during stressful times, when we are feeling anxious and to help us have a beautiful deep restful sleep! 26.12.2021 .. .. I have had a so many people say to me lately how different I look, how much lighter and brighter I seem. Honestly, this year has been a big one for me. A year of many changes, which has seen me grow enormously ... I always knew there was something more for me out there. I knew I had a purpose in my life to help people.. if that was to help and support women hormonally, for people to feel healthier in their bodies and mind or to provide people with financial freedom for their families. At the beginning of this year I had lost my passion and purpose and the last few months it has all come back! I have always been scared of change and the fear of the unknown. Now I embrace it and trust that this is my new path in life.
