24.01.2022 Washing day. Don't think we need the woolen blankets down any more as the nights aren't cold. The saviour for my old (but awesome) washing machine, the laundromat that has opened in Northmead. 6 beds all washed & getting freshened in the beautiful sunshine. Getting ready for the school holidays.

24.01.2022 It's hard to walk & take a picture in focus using the flash. Ralphie has joined us. One of the smartest most cunning of dogs. Refuses to do a # 2 in the back yard. Forcing you to walk him regardless of the time, if you don't want to be gassed.

23.01.2022 And then I called Grant in the house from the backyard to shut the sliding door to try & stop Ralphie & his dirty paws coming inside. Ralphie heard the phone & beat us inside.

22.01.2022 Bella & Mary are back. So glad the rain stopped. They've had a nice walk & now the buzzers from ninja warriors have stopped, they've both settled.

22.01.2022 Good morning from Parramatta Park.

22.01.2022 The lengths we have to go to.... Ralphie, as smart as he is, didn't get into the loungeroom THIS time. We have put 2 chairs upside-down on top of the crate & he manages to topple them over, move the crate & open the sliding door. Yesterday we had the vacuum in front of the door & the crate on the other side. No problem, he gets through & all the dogs have access to the loungeroom when we duck out. It's about finding the right combination. Like dipping your Macca's fries in your chocolate sundae, this is perfect.

22.01.2022 Last night's crazy antics. I didn't do a very good job on the video as I was too close to the action. It's all play wrestling, you can hear that no one is growling. Sometimes we have to paws what we're watching as it's too distracting with all this going on.

20.01.2022 Bella & Mary are back. The thing with a short haired dog is I can take them on the bush reserve tracks. So much nicer than walking on the footpaths around the streets.

19.01.2022 I know it seems impossible atm, but if you're travelling long term, around Australia or posted o/seas for work, ensure you have a contract or at least a witnessed document so you & your beloved dog are protected ie They are carers only, you OWN the animal. M/chip details may state you are the owner, but documents can be forged & m/chip details falsely changed. Ensure carers cannot profit from your dog, without your knowledge, agreement & if agreed a % share, for you the owner, from endorsements/commercials etc

18.01.2022 You know that feeling, when you've been to the hairdressers over the weekend and no-one says anything at work on Monday ? (Or a Thursday) You're left wondering has anyone noticed or does everyone not like it? At Mell's we'll always notice, and tell you, you look beeewtiful...... even if it is a tad of a shock to the system.

16.01.2022 There was the sounds of swamp hens, and cars, and chain saws and it was sensory overload for a little Pip of a pup, on a walk in Parramatta park. Added to that Mell is trying to teach me to walk nicely on her left hand side, my brain is exhausted.

14.01.2022 Hi Folks, Please be careful walking your pooch atm. This is just a sample of the different long grasses I came across on the last 100 mtrs on our walk this morning. Most of these were from areas that the council is responsible for maintaining. They all have seeds that can get in doggies eyes which can potentially block tear ducts. They can also be inhaled, and the lower one where you can see some of the parts broken away from the main head, can actually travel quite deeply into the nasal passage. So though it may be fun to let your little one chase a lizard into the long grass, maintain control of them & save yourself a potential vet visit. Have a happy Sunday. Mell
