24.01.2022 Wonderful day at Melville Palmyra Tennis Club with our Opening Day. Thanks Melville, the Melille family who helped us all out with our busy bee on Saturday, a special thanks to the Mayor Rusell Aubrey, Mrs Aubrey, and Councillor Patricia Phelan. Thanks for all your support and welcoming our guests. Thanks to David Kitto and Sandra Rule for captaining for the afternoon. Thanks to Alex for making all this happen with its amazing success. we look forward to seeing you at Fast 4 tennis on Tuesdays & future events.

24.01.2022 Our club played Blue Gum Tennis club for pennants yesterday. We finished our matches then they hosted. We met up with one of their senior members who was a member for more than 30 years, and had a long chat about the various aspects of tennis. I agree with what he said that the social part after the matches, is a fantastic added bonus to the weekend. Ar the end of the day, conpetition aside, we are all still friendly members of our communities and it is always great to meet new people, especially tennis players

23.01.2022 I have been having tennis lessons with Tennis Excellence. AJ has been doing fantastic work to improve me game. I soon learned that even for a player with my tennis experience how much room for improvement there is. I highly recommend Tennis Excellence

21.01.2022 Congrats goes out to Roger Federer who as of Monday 19th of February 2018 will once again become world number 1. He will also be the oldest and has been over 5 years since the last time Federer was number 1. He extends his lead if he wins tonights final by 140 points. What a magnificent achievement to not only win the Hopman Cup last month, win 3 of the last 5 grand slams, successfully defend his Australian Open title but he is currently unbeaten since December 2017. Not expected success from the man himself who turns 37 this year.

21.01.2022 A few nights ago at Fast4, we had a great turn put and had 3 matches round robin mini tournament. Alex did a fantastic job organising it and prizes went out to the winners. Folks from different walks of life all got a chance to chalk up the W (Win). A few matches had to be decided by tie-breakers. 18.01.2022 Another fanastic night of fast four on Tuesday. Every round went to tie breakers. Cant ask for closer than that. Anyone who hasnt tried it drop by we start having a hit 7:15pm and start sets at 7:30pm under lights and music.

What a great way to finish the school term.Thanks to our clubs coaching team Tennis Excellence for showing the kids and dads some fun tennis drills. Kids had a ball and so did the dads.

16.01.2022 MPTC grass courts are officially open. Was a great open day with the Mayor of Melville helping us open our club. It was great to see new faces and also the regular. We have the best grass courts in the area and also great facilities to go with them. Come down and have a hit on our courts and a cold drink at the bar

16.01.2022 Hi tennis fans. The numbers have declined last several weeks as it has been getting very chilly as soon as it hits after 6pm. We are putting the fast four on hold until it starts warming up later this year. ... The weather is still very good on Sunday afternoons for socials so if you are one of the fast four regulars, come down and have a hit with us on our plush grass courts before we close them down for winter season.

13.01.2022 Grats goes out to Kevin Anderson who not only was 2 sets down, saved a match point against Roger Federer, wins 13-11 in the final set, 4 hours 14 mins Then if that is not enough, this morning he finishes a 6 hour 36 minutes (99 games) match against John Isner 26-24 in the 5th set. He was too exhausted to even lift his arms in victory. ... I am sure many would be interested in his training program which kept his 32 year old frame from shutting down after nearly 11 hours of tennis. I personally have been on both sides of the spectrum, winning and losing matches going over 3 hours, believe me these are the kind of matches you never want to lose. The margins for error on matches like these are paper thin. Good luck Kevin. You derservedly earned your way to your maiden Wimbledon final and deserve to win it.

11.01.2022 I just had one of the most fun tennis days in a long time. There were 7 new players tonight and the games had everything. Drama, supurb shots, aces, three-stooges slapstick comedy and banter that pirates would be proud of. Everyone had their shining moments and was also served humble pie Even the weather couldnt be more perfect. Come down next week and join the fun
