24.01.2022 we are well on the way!! pap

23.01.2022 Some work isn't always done in the Shed. We were happy to lend a helping hand to the guy's at Murdoch Uni Research. Who are harvesting mussels and placing them over 3 Reefs in the Peel-Harvey waters to help filter water over time, improving the quality of the water and over time helping all the marine life living there.

23.01.2022 We're Back For The New Year!! Our Hours will Be Monday - Friday, 9am - 3:30pm Feel Free To pop in, Private Message us or Phone. Look forward to hearing from you or seeing you at the shed.

19.01.2022 We survived the recent local bush fire, that a lightning strike from a storm the previous night caused. We would like to to give the Firefighters a huge THANK YOU. The fire got close to the shed but all local district, out of district fire fighters and Volunteer's who helped contain the fire did a fantastic job and saved not only the Men's Shed, but lives, homes and animals too. Thanks To All Who Helped

10.01.2022 Just wanted to let you all know that Terry, Lou Lou and most importantly the Endeavour have arrived safely in Cooktown!!

08.01.2022 Hope everyone saw our very own Terry and Lou Lou on the front page of the Examiner recently!! The article explains where our Endeavour Replica is heading. Terry along with Lou Lou will make the journey from out Forrestdale Men's shed, across the Nullabor and up to Cooktown, where the Endeavour will make its final trip, all on dry land.. We are donating the Endeavour to the people of Cooktown 100%, lock stock and barrel!! This is Western Australia's contribution to the 202...0 Celebration commemorating Captain Cooks Landing Down Under !! We are accepting donations to help with the cost of fuel to get to Cooktown. If you are able to donate please P.M us Feel Free to share our post. Thanks to everyone, from the guy's at the Forrestdale Men's Shed See more

05.01.2022 We have all seen & heard about the devastating fire's either here in W.A & in the Eastern states. Where it has wiped out countless Animals, Flora and Fauna. That may never recover or will take many years to grow & repopulate. Our very own, always thinking Terry ( who is a teddy bear himself ) Has come up with a brilliant idea on how to help Koala's, recovery in their natural habitat. Hanging in a tree! Terry along with the boy's here at the shed have made a prototype Reco...very Station. These can be hung in a Eucalyptus tree and the Koala will be able to rest inside and not have to rely on their burnt or injured paws to cling to the tree. These's will give the koala a chance to recover & heal in their own natural environment. A Prototype & Design has been sent over east so they can start making these at other Men's Shed's, organization's or volunteers. Here is a couple of pic's of Terry's design :) we would also like to mention that this design incorporates a water condensation unit, that's a plastic bag around a living branch which condenses, and collects , then down a drip-line to a water feeder, then the injured animal doesn't have to risk leaving his safe station to seek water, giving him time to rest and recover, food is another problem to overcome.!!!

05.01.2022 On Behalf of the Forrestdale Men's Shed. We would like to wish you all Happy holidays, in this festive season. Stay safe and well. We will see you in the New Year !!
