21.01.2022 National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. Starting on May 27, National Reconciliation Week hosts a range of online events, along with news, resources and information on their website. We encourage all Australians to reflect on the part they play whether big or small on our journey towards reconciliation.
21.01.2022 With the current increased risk of COVID-19 comes increased anxiety as well. It can be especially difficult for young children to understand, so it is important... we let them know we’re looking after them and make ourselves available as much as possible. The ‘Hi. This is coronavirus’ book can help you remind your kids of what the virus is, how to stay healthy, and can remind them to talk to you about their feelings. Jane Reilly and Peter Combe read the book recently to children at Unley Libraries - check out the video to see how they made it fun! View the book here https://bit.ly/2Owc4c1
21.01.2022 Today is #ChildrensDay which celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and aims to teach all Australians about the fundamental importance that ...culture, family and community play in the life of every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child. Proud Kaurna and Narungga man Jack Buckskin has dedicated his life to learning and passing on his knowledge and language of the Adelaide Plains to future generations of Kaurna people. Recently, he did just that as he sat down with a group of kids to read ‘Hi, this is coronavirus’ which he had translated into Kaurna language. See more
