23.01.2022 Things are coming along nicely, thanks to all that dug in and gave a hand today to make life easier, thanks for all our awesome guests for showing some patience. This is our first time organising an event like this and were probably not going to get everything right but well give it a damn good shot. Tomorrow we hope everyone has a great day and enjoys themselves, drink responsibly, be safe around the animals. Watch for machinery. Thanks to all those who have travelled to... support our great event in Menzies. #buckinggoodtime #MenziesRodeo #firsttimers #hardyakka #localsupport #goodtimes

02.01.2022 Hi All, Many questions have been asked ... When is the next Rodeo on ?... Short answer is we are locking in the: Saturday 22/08/2020. Unfortunately we had our date this year taken by another rodeo event (a steep learning curve for us). We as a committee are governed by the availability of riders, stock and what dates are available. As Rodeo regulars are aware the livestocks health and well-being is paramount. If they travel, Rodeo they must be rested. We as a committee met many times to try and look at other dates but the reality is we either needed to bring it months forward (due to a small committee this isnt an option) or have it in the middle of summer . September / October is a very busy time for major events in Rodeo and in the Goldfields. We are truely sorry and extremely disappointed that we cant have our event this year but we are going to remain active and take this time to get various amenities at the rodeo grounds and put up some shade for people. Good news is we have secured sponsorship and funding for 2020 to have the highest competitor prize money available which should see an epic 2020 event. Our sponsors have been amazing in supporting us as per usual and we will continue to honour our commitments to them. Our committee thank you for your support for last years event and hope you can all save the date and come to our next Menzies Rodeo & Ute Muster In August 2020. If you have any questions or wish to get involved please dont hesitate to contact us. Photo credit: BMS Photography.
