25.01.2022 Merewether Bowling Club thanks you for your patience and support during COVID - 19. We will be open again Monday 1st June. With restrictions still in place operating hours will be Mon-Tue 3pm and Wed-Sun 11am. Fortuna Court will be open Wed-Sun lunch 11-2 & dinner 5-8... can't wait to see you again!

18.01.2022 KEEPING UPDATED Just as we were motoring on, to increasing numbers and being able to socialise with friends, we now need to re-adjust our progress. ClubsNSW has congratulated and acknowledged that clubs are ahead of the game in relation to monitoring and recording Covid preventative practices. The current adjustments are to ensure the recent increases in some hotspots/states does not cause a further flare-up in our region. The following are changes from Friday of this week:... 1. Members swipe their card at the register for an electronic record of attendance Non-members must sign on to sheets at the bar These processes are to provide details to Health NSW, should they request this data, all information is kept in a secure & confidential environment for 28 days after which time it is destroyed. 2. Functions/groups have a maximum number of 10, larger groups cannot be ‘split’ into smaller groups to reduce the group size. Groups are referred to as ‘Bubbles’ and each one cannot mingle with other ‘bubbles’. Co-mingling is seen as a high risk for infections, should someone be present who unknowingly has Covid. 3.Following a bar purchase guests must return to and be seated at their table. 4.Each area Bar/Gambling, Alison Hughes Function Room, Library, Decks and Restaurant- has number limits which have been calculated on floor space. 5. In each of these areas we have placed the number of chairs/tables allowed by the Health NSW Order, please don’t move chairs from one area to another If someone is standing in an area it indicates that there could be an excess in the number allowed for that space. 6. Thank you for assisting us with these points, there are no excuses accepted by the Licensing Officers, for Non-compliance of the Health NSW Order, the only result being a heavy fine. Friday Night Raffles These have recommenced and are progressing well with the new raffle system, tickets are purchased at the bar, when your card is swiped your name will appear on the screen (along with the winning number) if you are a winner. We currently have fabulous meat prizes from Dunn's Butchery, Fruit n Vege boxes from IGA Merewether & final prize is a Bar Voucher. Vouchers Reminder that 31 July 2020 is the cut-off date for expired vouchers from the shutdown period of 23/3/2020 1/6/2020 and from 1 August all gala or raffle vouchers are for use at the Bar only.
