16.01.2022 Dear Parent/Carer, FYI New pedestrian refuge for Meridan State College Council was successful in receiving a grant through the School Transport Infrastructure Program (STIP) for the construction of a pedestrian refuge on Creekwood Avenue, Meridan Plains. ... STIP funding helps improve the safety and operation of schools through the installation of new or improved transport related road network or infrastructure. The grant funds of $41,500 will build a pedestrian refuge on Creekwood Avenue to assist children crossing to Rebecca Street park. This project aims to improve pedestrian connectivity throughout the area and encourage active transport to and from school. This pathway upgrade be done over the holiday period to ensure minimal disruption to the school community. See more

04.01.2022 Salvation Army Christmas Appeal! The Secondary Student Leadership Team, under the guidance of Mrs Brown and Ms Follett, are requesting donations on behalf of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal. Attached is a grocery list guidelines to give you some ideas of requested non-perishable food donations. These items will be collected throughout next week Week 5 (next week) via Mentor Group. Make someone’s Xmas great! Students are strongly encouraged to sanitise hands before and after handing any donations be vigilant with hand washing and cleaning equipment and surfaces; and not to handle food if they’re unwell.
