25.01.2022 We finished our playgroup sessions this week, celebrating Spring by making flower crowns. The children have had a lovely term, and we have really noticed the play and connection within our groups develop over these past few weeks. We have also had quite a bit of interest in our playgroup lately and are very happy to open up a new playgroup session. We now have spaces available on a Tuesday, so please let us know if you would like to join us next term. To all our current families, have a wonderful break and we will see you all next term.

23.01.2022 As Spring has brought some beautiful rain this morning, please ensure all children have their wet weather clothes for our outside play this morning. Look forward to seeing you all!

22.01.2022 Our last session for the term is complete, and what a beautiful time we had! The children made flower crowns, and played in the sandpit. Then they prepared a juicy, spring fruit salad! Our wonderful parents brought in some homemade food to celebrate the last days of term, and what a feast it was. ... We still have a couple of spots on Wednesdays and Thursdays next term, would you like to book a trial?

20.01.2022 A warm welcome to the many new members who have joined our playgroup recently and also to the many familiar faces we are looking forward to seeing again soon. Playgroup sessions begin again from the week starting the 4th of February. We have a space available for a family to join us on Wednesdays, a couple of spaces available on Fridays and we are taking expressions of interest for a group to run on Tuesdays. ... Please get in touch if you are interested in joining us this term. Our playgroup is a very welcoming space, Jane is a wonderful Steiner teacher and I'm sure you will make some wonderful memories here, just as I have.

The Opp Shop this year will have some wonderful baby and kids clothing and toys ( always good just before Christmas!). We can't wait to see you there! 19.01.2022 Springtime Springtime in the air All the birds are singing See the flowers everywhere And the lambs are springing ... Spring has certainly sprung! The school holidays are almost over, and our new term will be starting. We still have a few places left in our Thursday group, so please get in touch if you would like to book a trial session!

17.01.2022 We are really looking forward to our fair on Saturday. The weather looks a little cool this weekend, but hopefully these beautiful hand knitted cats, and a gorgeous duck will warm your hearts. We hope you can join us on Saturday and maybe take a new knitted friend home with you.

17.01.2022 That's a wrap for the year! It has been a beautiful, and heartwarming year. So many new babies joined our community, and current families continued to support us. A big congratulations to Lisa Yeh who won the raffle! We hope you enjoy the goodies inside! Please let Majari know via email if you are returning next term, and what day you are attending. 14.01.2022 Coronavirus (COVID-19) update. Our dearest community, We have been closely watching the updates on the corona virus, and have made the decision to close one week early. This means that this week will be our last week before school holidays. ... This decision was not made lightly. We know that isolation is difficult, and that connection, support, and a friendly ear is vital to parents of young ones. It is with our most vulnerable members in mind that we have made this decision. Your fee for the remaining week will be refunded, and we are hoping to be starting back next term as usual. We send all our community love, and good health. If you are feeling alone, or in need of someone to talk to I will be continuing to monitor this messenger, so please reach out if in need. 13.01.2022 Welcome to Merri Steiner Playgroup. Our playgroup is a warm and nurturing space that values the importance of play. Each session follows a gentle rhythm which provides structure for the children throughout the morning. The Steiner approach values the natural environment and provides a beautiful space full of natural materials and hand-made toys that promote meaningful and open-ended play. Playgroup... We have been running our beautiful Steiner playgroup for over ten years. An experienced and dedicated Steiner teacher guides each playgroup session and develops unique programs each term to celebrate the seasons and festivals. Morning playgroup sessions follow a rhythm of outside play, seasonal songs and verses, morning tea (family provided), inside play with our beautiful collection of play things and to end, storytelling. 11.01.2022 Good morning to our wonderful community! 2020 threw so many curve balls at us, and 2021 has already shown us how quickly things can change. The committee is in discussions regarding how we can provide the beauty and connection in our groups whilst remaining COVID safe however our sessions will go ahead!... Can we get a quick show of hands on this post as to who is booking in for this coming term? What days from Mon-Thurs would you prefer? Numbers will need to be limited and we want to ensure we can cater to everyone. Thank you to everyone who has sent an email through to the committee, if you could also put a little comment here too that will help me collate the numbers and hopefully we can see you all in February!

We cannot do it without you! We'd love some more baked goods (with ingredients list) or anything you'd like to donate to the Opp Shop, or crafts table too! ... The weather will be stunning, so bring your family down for some delicious food and chai, for some activities, and to browse the Opp Shop. Please remember to bring cash as card facilities will not be available. I cannot wait to see you all, our beautiful community!

This is a beautiful time to come together as a community and help to raise funds, and spread the word about our beautiful playgroup.... Can you cook, or bake something? We tried to come up with creative solutions, but were unable to find a way to remain true to who we are, and to ensure your safety.... Just a reminder to ensure you have payed your enrolment fee, and let Manjari know that you will be joining us this term by emailing her at [email protected]. If you haven't paid your enrolment fee by Friday then your spot will be given to those on the waiting list. ... As always, please ensure the kiddos are dressed appropriately for outdoor play and have their piece of fruit. We feel blessed to be welcoming quite a few new families into our community this term and look forward to showing them the comforting rhythm of our playgroup.
