17.01.2022 Here is an article from the Portland Observer today which features one of our proposed developments in Bentick Street, Portland for one of our fantastic clients. The proposal is currently in the Town Planning stage and will see an existing residence previously operating as a medical center demolished. For the construction of six two storey, contemporary, architecturally designed apartments. Each with two bedrooms, undercover parking and open plan living. There are lots of design guidelines and constraints at Logans Beach Coastal Village, which we worked through with our clients to design this dwelling. Its always fun having an extra challenge thrown into the mix and working through issues that may arise to satisfy not only our clients but the town planning process. We will work with you right from t...he early concept and design brief stage, through to town planning (if you require it). We also liaise with any regulatory bodies including the local council, building surveyors, thermal assessors, engineers and builders. Once you are satisfied with your sketch concept we then arrange a soil test and any engineering if you require it. One bonus is we work with these consultants on a daily basis making it a smooth process. Its such a satisfying feeling knowing you have helped to create their living space. We live and breath practical design and absolutely love the whole process. ... 05.01.2022 Progress photos of a modern two storey extension we completed for a client in Portland. As part of the design brief we made sure to capture the amazing ocean view to the rear of the site and incorporate contemporary architecture to the existing dwelling. This was done through the use of vertical shadowline Ultraclad, cladding, parapet walls and angling the balcony to provide shape and articulation. Large windows were specified to frame the sea view and North orientation, pro...viding great solar access. We absolutely love when our clients send in their progress shots or we are lucky enough to go out on site to see the progress.
