25.01.2022 Merrijig Ski Club won the Merrijig vs CSIR interclub race today, by an average margin of just 0.16sec. Great fun was had by all in great conditions, and CSIR are to be congratulated for a great cocktail party.

18.01.2022 Merrijig Ski Club - Annual General Meeting Dont forget the AGM is on Wednesday 12th November at the Tower Hotel in Hawthorn. The meeting starts at 7.30pm, but why not come and catch up with club friends over dinner in the Bistro from 6.00pm? Committee and Director nominations need to be received by the committee by 22nd October.... For those that attend the AGM in person, there will be two random door prizes given away, both being two free member bed-nights during the 2015 season, so please come along to support your club!

Our names are Massimo Spedaletti & Alana Sutherland, and we are the new managers at the Merrijig Ski Club for the 2014 Winter Season. A little about ourselves; My name is Massimo, I'm from Italy, although I've been living here in this beautiful country for the past 10 years. I come from a family who loves to cook and eat, and sharing a meal at the table is an important part of daily life. My Nonna has influenced me great...ly in my passion for food and cooking, and taught me which power this has to make people happy and bring people together. It was no coincidence that I developed an interest in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry from an early age, and have now been working as a Head Chef, in Italy and here in Australia, for the past 16 years. I have been lucky enough to work with various world renowned Chefs, with whom my skills and techniques were highly refined, and I'm pleased to now share this experience with all of you. My name is Alana, Australian through & through! I have called Melbourne home for the past 10 years and fell in love with hospitality by chance when offered a job whilst getting my morning coffee. And I haven't looked back. Since then I have worked in hatted restaurants around Melbourne and have developed a thorough knowledge of Australian and Italian quality produce & wine, and catered to an ever growing population of knowledgeable clientele. I absolutely adore my job and get much pleasure from interacting with people all day and providing them with an opportunity to relax and connect with their food and one another. For me this industry gives complete personal satisfaction and engages me with an honest world of food & wine, family & friends, conversation and understanding. During that time I have also completed a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design, which has given me many manual skills and a sense of how the world around us operates. We as a couple enjoy the simple things, obviously food & wine and sharing time with family & friends, however travel and exploring other cultures is a joint passion of ours. Music is also a big part of our lives and our appreciation spans over many genres. Although going fishing together is usually a point of discussion! 10.01.2022 We had a great morning of racing yesterday in the annual Merrijig V Ajax Inter Club Ski Challenge. followed by a fun evening of celebrations hosted by our oppositions (and friends!) at Ajax Ski Club. We are proud to report that Merrijig has reclaimed the title for 2018, winning the event by a very close margin!! There were lots of happy skiers and boarders out on the course, and some big smiles when the medals were presented!!

Snow season extended to Sunday 8 October 2017 Buller Ski Lifts, Mt Buller Mt Stirling Resort Management and the Chamber confirmed today the snow season will be extended by one week, to the end of school holidays on Sunday 8 October. The resort will announce this to the public and media on Thursday 7 September 2017. ... Recent heavy snowfalls, and a positive outlook for further snow have contributed to this decision. The Board have declared the official snow season will continue through to Sunday 8 October 2017, and as such Resort Operations will remain unchanged (unless otherwise advised) including: Resort entry fees and operations Parking operations (note: overnight parking is free in September) Traffic management restrictions including Village access and Village parking Declaration of wheel chain status Snow clearing and water operations Shuttle buses (day visitor and intra village) Medical Centre operations The resort will support Spring skiing and the additional week of the season with extensive media and advertising to encourage strong visitation through the Closing Weekend.

01.01.2022 Mt Buller has had over a metre of fresh snow (so far!) THIS SPRING. This really is the season that keeps on giving. Right now there is sunshine on the forecast and an incredible line up of events in resort, with the 2017 Pond Skim National Championships on Saturday and Yuki Threads Birds Sessions on Sunday. With passes reduced by 40%, FREE overnight parking and accommodation deals galore there are lots of good reasons to get up here! SPRING LIFT PASS SAVINGS... Lift passes and Discover passes are now discounted by 40%! Lifts scheduled to operate are: Blue Bullet, ABOM Express, Bourke St Carpet, Fox, Tirol, Grimus, Federation, Summit, Howqua, Wombat, Southside, Skyline and Bull Run.
