24.01.2022 Well, it's Thursday again....and the weather is forecast to warm up today, but maybe not so thirsty today. They might be ready to mingle on Monday though after a pretty warm weekend. You really can't beat Merton Village for the friendly and supportive community they have built for themselves, where you have someone looking out for you if need it.

19.01.2022 Bridget, one of our very special volunteers, loaned us her uncle's World War One penny, awarded to those killed in action. Bridget's uncle fought in France and was killed in 1917. He was only 19. Our residents were honoured to share his medal on this Remembrance Day 2020. Thank you Bridget.

09.01.2022 Let's hear it for the boys! Conal and John are the latest recipients of the Extra Mile and Bright Idea Awards. Conal received 4 nominations for the Extra Mile from residents and fellow staff - a record! The residents in particular appreciate the kindness and thoughtfulness he demonstrates to them while he goes about his work. John is always thinking about ways we can improve the quality of life of the residents and bringing meaningful activities to the service. John advocate...d for the new flags at Merton Court and these are highly valued by the residents. They enjoy their role in the raising and lowering of the flags each day. These boys have also considered their better halves with their voucher choices. Flowers from Fresh Denman and vouchers from Hollydene and Sheryns Beauty Spot. Congratulations and thank you fellas!! This livestream event is created to lift spirits, bringing together aged care residents, workers, older people in our communities, their families and all local community members to celebrate the wonderful time of year that is Christmas! 04.01.2022 Merton Village has some units available for someone who wants to make a lifestyle investment, eg downsize so there is not so much house to look after, and no more lawn mowing. Then you have plenty of energy to enjoy the social activities that the residents have organised. There is something for most interests whether it be craft activities, art or games such as hoi. Or getting together some nibbles and drinks appeals for some village camaraderie. Here are some photos of some gardens and Unit 40, one of the two bedroom units currently available. There are ceiling fans throughout, and direct access to the kitchen from the garage to make it nice and easy to bring your groceries inside. 03.01.2022 Who will be left holding the baby?! The ladies hosted a baby shower for Jane on Friday at Merton Court. Looks like a different kind of drinking game was had....

02.01.2022 We have set up a fundraiser to raise money for automatic doors to enable residents independence and safety. We have new doors at the front of Merton Court, but need an automatic door at the back and also in our administration building. Hoping you can fast track this project by sharing this post!

02.01.2022 Fantastic friendship in Merton Village! If you are growing tired of the never ending maintenance or don't fancy another summer of lawn mowing, there are units currently available. At 7 Turtle Street, there is a very spacious 2 bedroom unit available which is also suitable for someone in a wheelchair, and a standard 2 bedroom unit. As you can see, our residents are most welcoming and enjoy coming together each month for some social company. At 45 Ogilvie Street, which is extremely close to all the shops and services, there are also some 2 bedroom units available, along with a 2 bedroom unit with study that is to be refurbished. This unit also has ducted air conditioning.
